Cat & Canary in Horsham

This place makes a fantastic first impression, but it's a little bit of a let down with slow service and attention to detail. Drinks come slow, but the old fashioned was 10/10 and others were good. Squid starter has potential but I had a possibily double or triple fried prawn in my plate which was likely from an older order left in the fry basket. Whilst tasty it was tough, so likely over cooked or old oil, shame as the sauce was really tasty. Chicken schnitzel was good and the pork was was very tasty, favourite dish of the day. We ordered 2 fries and the lady read our order back...but none arrived until I asked and not the truffle fries we asked for...in the end we weren't charged for them and so at that's positive at least. Great potential, good food lacking some attention to detail and likely they need 1 more member of staff as it wasn't even very busy when we arrived but service was slow... Unique setting so it's a shame it wasn't better.

This is truly one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to! What a nice decor! The space is quite small so you should definitely be booking a table to make sure you get in. The food was pretty amazing too and the drinks were great! Definitely recommend!

The setting is beautiful and the food is very very good, however I just can't recommend it based on the service and facilities outside at the moment. We waited over an hour for our food, with children becoming increasingly irritated. Not only this but the roof dumped a huge amount of water on the table, down the back of my neck and all over my friends food while in full view of the staff and they did nothing and bordered on rude. I feel there either aren't enough staff to meet demand or they just don't really care very much. Very disappointing as this is a fantastic venue and the food really is great.

I had the salmon & scrambled egg with capers, absolutely delicious & the service friendly & prompt, go back often for coffee & a natter, you meet so many lovely people especially with dogs, it's a talking point.We've only eaten outside so far, but hope to book a table inside when we don't have our dog with us, would just be a little more relaxing.Give it a try, you won't regret it.

So disappointed with our visit here. We came yesterday for lunch and found a table outside. Sat down and ordered drinks whilst looking through the menu for food to them be told to leave as the table had been reserved! There was nothing on the table to suggest otherwise or any other table either and we then had to take our drinks in takeaway cups and go. Not happy. Such a shame and waste of time as we were there for about 10/15 before anyone said anything!

Had an excellent brunch with my wife. Friendly staff, lovely tasting food and surrounded by greenery!

How anyone could not rate this 5/5 is beyond me. It’s a stunning venue, absolutely breath taking and so carefully thought through. You couldn’t find a location even half as beautiful around here if you tried! The granola was delicious and presented like art. But the best thing about Kaya is the staff, they are so lovely and make everyone feel really welcome. I can’t wait to come back again. 6/10 from me 😀💕

Dining outdoors , and in, this team at Kaya deliver a tasty meal and friendly service. Horsham park regulars can be found enjoying a hot drink served for take away and sitting on the benches and enjoying the space and the community and. Kaya In The Park creates a positive experience for the park.

Booking system is awful - trying to change our booking number was a nightmare. We called, emailed, Facebook messaged and ended up having to turn up in person to do it. However, atmosphere, drinks and decor were all above and beyond. Cocktails were inventive and pretty, food was excellent and service was very attentive.

Stunning place, the decor is fabulous. Very busy and booking is essential - can't just turn up for a drink. Cocktails by Molly are amazing. Try the Zulu Zombie!
