Great food, very friendly with a lovely country pub atmosphere

One steak pie was perfect the other had very undercooked steak in it. Good thing steak can be eaten that way. Veg was lovely

Quiet which suited us. Waitress was tending bar as well so she was very busy. Cheerful, efficient service. Food delicious.

Stopped off here for a quick bite of lunch on the way back from Brighton.Food was lovely, barmaid was very welcoming but it was cold. Central heating needed to be on.

Excellent Sunday lunch, good price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our visit and looking forward to returning.

What can I say! Found this charming pub by chance and I'm glad we did. The food was incredible, tasty, generous and well presented. The 2 young girls behind the bar were a breath of fresh air, welcoming, chatty and efficient. I will most definitely reccomend this pub to anyone. Bravo Hare and Hounds 👍

Stopped for a quick lunch on a weekday there. The place was full which was a good sign. Waited for our food for over 20-30 min but at least I knew they cooked it from scratch. Fish and chips were lovely. Recommend.
