Hen & Chicken in Horsham

Friendly staff and good manager. However slight delay in receiving the food and the chicken was a bit dry and burnt in places.

Very good food, very friendly and sensible prices. Heartily recommended.

I've ordered from both the normal pub menu and curry menu, and the food is great! Curry is always tasty, authentic and spiced well. The pub food is hearty and consistently good quality. The pub has a great atmosphere, and the owner is especially friendly and helpful when recommending dishes and generally chatting. I'll be coming again, and recommending it to anyone who wants a great Indian restaurant in the horsham area. Highly recommend!

Had to wait 40minutes for our table. 3 meals were very good but my chicken was overcooked and tough to eat. Good variety of food. Would go back but not have the meal I had again.

A truly outstanding family run restaurant featuring tradition pub classics alongside unparalleled Indian specialties. The cocktails also 😍A lovely building and atmosphere from the staff. Also an Outdoor heated seating area. I would highly recommend and will look forward to visiting again soon.

Dianne (Horsham)Six of us had lunch on Sunday 31/10/2021 very good menu choices, and one vegetarian amongst us was not disappointed. We loved the crispy prawns , Lamb shanks that melt in the mouth, we were very pleased with all our meals, excellent and welcoming staff and service, all meals served at the same time, that doesn’t always happen in other places.( Lovely clean loos too). We couldn’t find fault with anything and have already recommended this restaurant to friends.

Just had lunch at the Hen and Chicken. There were 10 of us. From the moment we spoke to them to reserve a table til we left we were made to feel like regulars. Half the table went for traditional meals where as the other half went for curry. The food was amazing!! I was a little sceptical that they could pull off so much variety but they smashed it out the park. Thank you to the staff and chefs for a wonderful experience!!

First visit and a lovely surprise. Welcoming staff. Warm atmosphere, great food choice and cooked really well and fairly priced. A definite for another visit. Well done.

Starters mains and sides all great sized portions and huge chucks of meat or paneer. Every dish tasty which I think is lacking in curries sometimes. Nice wine selection and polite and attentive service without being too on your case. The 'english' menu is also varied and interesting I had the lamb shank last visit and was delicious. Congratulations to the hen and chick a great addition to Southwater.
