Start by saying that this is the best Chinese takeaway I've every had and I've had a few. My only little moan is that they forgot my fried rice but we got a complimentary bag of crispy things instead.The crispy duck starter was an eye-opener. Big, beautifully cooked and with the trimmings it was a meal in itself. My aged step-mum loved it which is a first. I'd ordered the half duck instead of the quarter so once we'd finished it it was a struggle to eat the finest prawn toasts I've ever seen.We'd ordered Roast Duck in Plum Sauce but couldn't eat anymore, so had that and shared a Chow Mein for lunch the flowing day.Totally memorable. We will be back and if this quality, quantity, perfect cooking and value for money continue then I recommend anyone to try this shop. Brilliant.

Great authentic Chinese food. We would go anywhere else now we’ve found it.

Worst Chinese I've ever had, took ages to com. The food was dry with no flavour. The cherry on top was the driver gave me euros in change instead of pound coins. I would not recommend this Chinese at all, avoid.

The food was lovely but the delivery is shocking...the food turned up 30mins late and we couldn't get hold of them to chase up the order.

Tried this place last night and never again. Food was bland and the sauces were so thick you could stand a fork upright in them. Never again

Given delivery time of one hour, after hour and twenty five minutes I called to see where it was. Given eta of further ten minutes. Arrived, paid, then opened it to find one dish missing. Told we would have that within 15 minutes which ended up being half hour, definitely use other deliveries, unless you want the same bad service

The food here is the best Chinese take out we have had locally. Singapore rice noodles were amazing, but the other food was flavoured well too. There was a mistake made in the order but the management sorted this for us which is service we would consider exceptional. Definitely going back for more.

We ordered a take-away online on Saturday 7 November with delivery confirmed at 18:30. It get's to 18:30 and another email is received to advise delivery is now 19:30. The person we spoke to was very matter of a fact and said we didn't order it even though the payment had been processed. It takes another phone call today to chase the refund and the person we speak to fobs us off and blames her staff. Not impressed at all and not the first time we have had issues with this company.

Ordering from them for 2 years and always had GREAT meal.Last order though I was a bit disappointed as got the quarter of duck shredded (looking like leftovers) when for 2 years always got it whole.Called the shop where the lady was trying to tell me that they always do it this way.Please don't lie to people especially when they are regular customers. All I was looking for was explanation of why it was served this way as it wasn't as nice as usually. I did not want money back or anything like that nor did I ask for it.Today I ordered again,they left my food outside of the block of flats I live in. If my neighbour did not bring my order in I wouldn't get it.Called the shop and all I got from them was excuses and lies again.They were trying to tell me the drivers don't go inside the building even though ecerytime before they did?!!I guess last time I have ordered from them,even though the food is great,service seriously sucks!!

I cannot speak highly enough of the Mandarin House. Both the food portions and the staff are generous. If you enjoy mouth watering, piping hot delicacies cooked fresh, this is the best Chinese takeaway to order from.Moreover, I've collected and had delivery orders - both of which were prompt and extremely satisfactory. The drivers are extremely friendly and are happy to phone you if your residency is tricky to locate and/or have any special requirements for them to adhere to.The cleanliness of the building is immaculate and the atmosphere is both inviting and comfortable. Smiles from staff and pleasant conversation every time leave me feeling satisfied with the quality of customer service, of which is extremely high.This is, and will always continue to be, my absolute favourite takeaway for all of the above reasons.
