Fantastic fish and chips. Great friendly quick service. Brilliant prices.

We were a little disappointed with our visit. No one acknowledged us and after waiting for ages to be seated, we choose our own table. Having gone up to order our food we were told that significant amounts of the menu weren't available as they didn't have them. When the food did arrive the burgers were burnt so slightly inedible but the chips were good and hot!!!We won't be back.

We had a large group booked for a busy Saturday night. I kept having to change numbers and pre-orders and they were very helpful and accommodating. The show we were watching ran late but they held the table for us and held back the food until we all arrived. They even accommodated as extra 3 people we brought along with us, even though I was completely OK if they couldn't fit them in as I knew it was along shot. Food was great value and everyone was happy with their meal. It's a short walk from home so we will be making it a regular for family meals out.

I'm not sure why Sussex Barn isn't a 5 star pub. They have such friendly staff and a very diverse menu to keep everyone happy. They often have sports playing on TV and are quite happy to accommodate people who book. There's also a super convenient app where you can order from your phone and it makes life really easy. This place is going to become my favourite pub!

Had meal yesterday evening to celebrate special occasion. Sat down at 7pm, shared some nachos. Main course didn’t arrive til 8.30, after telling staff (when we could find one) twice that we were ready for main ! Food not very good. Chips warm, vegan skewer mainly corn cobs, minute serving of peas with scampi, which were brought separately. One last moan….NO mayonnaise!!! Any good manager would have sent someone to local shop to get some 😡. Poor food, poor service, won’t be going back.

Great vibe and service! Nice extensive menu, perfect for a fun time out at the pub or for watching whatever sport appeals to you! We took our dog along and they’re allowed in the pub area 😊

Trying very hard to be an American style family sports bar and grill. Very nice and helpful servers. Vegan fish and chips were ugly but surprisingly tasty and affordable so that was nice. Not bad for a pub in the middle of the 'burbs

Lovely Christmas breakfast with Santa. Staff lovely but very stretched. Keep it simple for next year, we'd all be happy with bacon and sausage sandwiches with a cuppa for the same price, might make the logistics easier in the kitchen. Food was good. We'll be back again, it was lovely, and all for charity too.

Payed £48 per head for 15 of us to have Christmas Dinner and they couldn't have messed it up much worst than they did. The starter took an hour to arrive then 1.5 hours for the main and another half hour for desert. We went to have a meal not spend the majority of Christmas day there. Portion sizes were random for each person, vegetables were barely cooked and hard. Manager has no clue how to run a place like that. I would suggest some online courses.
