Nice pub with good food. A bit pricey but worth a visit. Service can be a bit flaky...

Great beer and wine, fine atmosphere, superb bar staff. Highly recommended.

I have only just got round to posting this review after our Christmas lunch at The Black Jug. I cannot thank the staff enough for their help, all the way from the booking process, pre-order (we were a very large group) to the lunch itself. The food came out in good time and was absolutely delicious. Special mention to Hannah for looking after and putting up with us on the day! Sue, D Durrant Removals.

A fantastic pub! Very cute, genuine, and atmospheric decor. The building has a pubby front of house, a restauranty conservatory, and a lovely looking back patio. Strong drink selection. Phenomenal food that is a lot fancier than one would expect. Very good wait staff and very quick service.

A most enjoyable lunch here last Saturday (18th December) with my wife and son. The food was delicious and the service was excellent 👍

Christmas outing for our crafts club. Excellent food. I had the sirloin steak cooked medium rare. Couldn’t fault anything. Would definitely recommend. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Posh upmarket vegan options. Absolutely divine food. Looks amazing and tastes just as good. Really nice chilled pub atmosphere as well!

Cute little pub with nice facility including indoor, atrium, and outdoor seating. Food is good with a small selection and slightly higher than average price. Great if you want a less crowded place to relax and take in the atmosphere.

Tasty, well presented food, however the wait was long and the staff seemed stressed and rushed.

Always enjoy going to The Black Jug for drinks. Had a late dinner this time. Although the pub is not geared towards vegans the curry is a great main meal option. No loud music ever played here so atmosphere is set by customers and staff, good place for being able to hear what everyone is saying!
