Great food, smallish menu do you need 30+ dishes to choose from? Had steak, pork and guiness pie. It was excellent wish I could have it tomorrow too.

I remember this place being much better before covid. The staff were inexperienced and there was a lot of waiting for plates to be cleared etc. The food, which used to be excellent, was only average and so the high prices I don't believe are currently justified. In addition, the sticky toffee pudding was served lukewarm instead of hot.

Excellent food and service. Our main server Claudia was very very good and helpful. Thank you Claudia. Knocked a star off because the food took far too long to exit the kitchen. Great when it arrived though.

Very slow poor service, confusion over which meals were gluten free for my coeliac wife, initially advised wrong GF choices, then waitress asked if chips could be fried in same frier as battered fish, demonstrating no awareness of gluten free needs.Service inattentive and no knowledge of how to wait tables. Very overpriced. Steaks overcooked, tough. No alternatives. Walked out. No response to a private message sent before making a public review. Will not be returning. Worst meal I've ever had. Cannot possibly be justified to be in the Michelin guide. I've never walked out of a restaurant before. Go elsewhere is my suggestion.

Lovely clean pub. Very overpriced in my opinion . 2 lunches 1 bottle of wine ..100.00. Sorry will not be returning.

Arrived without a reservation to find that Sunday lunch was fully booked. The staff were brilliant and found a spare table (but with a limited time of an hour). We had the burgers which were very well presented and were absolutely delicious. Attending staff were very busy but friendly and very helpful. Will certainly be returning but this time with a reservation.Well done The Crabtree.

Great food that's reasonably priced. Friendly polite service. A comfortable rustic atmosphere. Would highly recommend

Lunch with colleagues, my friend suggested the Crabtree. My last visit a family meal a year ago was wonderful and standards remain high. I ate the fish soup which was simple, fresh and delicious. Desserts are very good, pub stables (burgers, fish & chips etc.) are unexpectedly impressive. Some good wines and great beer. Service is confident and relaxed. Justifiably popular.

This place is a little slice of heaven! If I could give it more than five stars I would.Beautiful pub with a magical garden, backing on to wildflower-strewn fields. We had dinner, and the food was exceptionally creative. We particularly loved the desserts.Service was very warm and we felt hugely welcome. Will have to find an excuse to go back!
