The Dragon in Horsham

Came here for lunch earlier today. Warm welcome and delicious, well presented food. Only small thing was that my Chicken escalope was brought to me without the fries but when I addressed this, the waitress soon rectified this. The service was top class and the ambience was lovely. I’ve just written a review for the Cottesmore Hotel where we were staying and have also recommended that guests pay The Dragon pub a visit! Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

A thoughtful kind and lovely place is a real asset. Well presented fresh food expertly prepared with generous portions. Best seabream. Our waitress was so helpful and friendly. Definitely come back

Really liked the food - the mixed grill was great and good portions. Service was friendly if ever so slightly slow but saying that, it was a rather busy Saturday afternoon. Fairly pricey but all round good quality. Lots of space in the parking round back.

Overall experience were very good. Food was good and so was the staff. And they were able to accommodate us (a rather big group unexpectedly). So only complain was that it took some time to give us coffee at the end of our meal. 😊

Second time here after a great first meal late last year. I had the Dragon Roast which was delicious. Came back today and unfortunately no Dragon roast on the menu. Slightly disappointed because the menu didn’t have the best options either. The manager who signed us in didn’t even guide us to our table but merely pointed, which I found rather odd. Anyway, onto the food…I ordered a lamb shank at £25.00. Disappointed when it arrived. The meat was dry and ended up having to rip the meat from the bone as it didn’t fall off, as you would expect from a Lamb shank. Very gristly as well.Told the manager that it was disappointing and without no apology informed me he would be telling the chef of my feedback. I’m sure he didn’t! Not even a “why didn’t you like it” - almost as though he had heard it before. He took the plates and left. Very dismissive in my opinion.I wasn’t meaning to insult but at £25.00 for a roast which consisted of 3 potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding, one stem of broccoli and the driest Lamb shank I’d have eaten, the manager would be more receptive to feedback.Also, to pay £5.00 for cauliflower cheese was extremely over the top. Albeit, it tasted great but the portion size was minimal. I think it was 3 small chunks of cauliflower with cheese. (£5.00!)I won’t be returning despite how good my first time here was. It was a total rip off.

Absolutely delicious; portion sizes are massive so make sure you are hungry! Very friendly and efficient service, really relaxed, lovely atmosphere even though it was quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. Definitely recommend! Still thinking about the Cali burger now...

First time visiting and have to say the food was impeccable. Had a mixed grill. At first I thought portion sizes were a little small with regards to the chips. However, there was so much, high quality and expertly cooked meat, I could barely handle the chips on the plate anyway! Absolutely brilliant and we will definitely stop by again

One of my all time favourite local pubs!The dragons food is always fantastic and of the highest quality. Whilst I have been a fuss ball through my pregnancy, the chef rustled me up sausage and mash because that’s what I have been craving since they took it off there menu during the covid pandemic.I was so grateful and they treated it limits it was no issue at all.Would 100% recommend to anyone who enjoys there meats and great foodie environment.

Excellent establishment for steak and seafood. Had the fish platter to start, and for mains fillet and t-bone. Definitely a hidden gem and great sized portions.
