Food is so greasey, my food was dripping. Drinkers pub only and seems the food served is only good for soaking up the booze. Such a shame as this pub could do well with the right Menu and Chef.

Lovely pub, lovely staff and enjoyed a great daily special of steak and ale pie, chips, cauliflower, carrots, mashed (something nice!) Enormous meal, well more than I could manage but did my best as it was delicious. Definitely go again.

It's a proper pub that does good food. Would have been 5 stars if we could have found a dog water bowl. We asked but nothing appeared.

Stopped in here whilst the power was off at home after storm Eunice. A warm welcome for us as a family of 4 on a Friday night. Super food, large portions, steak and ale pie was amazing and kids loved the chicken nuggets. Thanks!

Great pub. Plenty of food on your plate, if you are hungry this is the place to be. Excellent choice of food, good quality too. Really lovey atmosphere and superb surroundings.

What a find. The service and food in this pub is second to none. The portion sizes were enormous. We had a good few hours here and a big thank you to Katie who looked after us.

Hubby and I popped in for lunch yesterday 5th March 2020. He had the suet pudding and I had the grilled chicken burger. Both meals were amazing and probably one of the best meals we have had in a long time .... definately be back!

Stopped here for a few beers at the end of a days walking. We had muddy boots and three dogs, we were warmly welcomed in. There's a lovely open fire which the dog's loved We didn't eat here but the menu looked nice and reasonable priced. Worth a detour if you're walking part of the south downs way.

Lovely big family run country pub serving great home cooked grub and real ale in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Great garden with plenty of seating in the sunshine, large car park with plenty of street parking, regular live music and popular biker pub hosting regular biker meets throughout the year and also popular stop off for walkers with their pooches in tow.. Highly recommended.. 5 star 🌟 plus..
