The George Hotel in Horsham

AwfulArrived after spending three hours on the M25 only to find they had no room for me even though I'd had two confirmation emails!!They blamed booking.com!!Staff at the bar was reasonable, manager who I had to speak to on the phone!! Blamed everyone but herselfShocking!!

Comfortable bed, hot shower, road a little noisy in the front bedrooms but possibly not an issue for most. Nice village, tons of beautiful walks around.

I stayed one night in the single room (Room#1) and thought it was clean, comfortable and perfect for what I needed (2 days cycling around South Downs). The staff warned me when I booked that the room was small but it was absolutely fine. Unfortunately no chef at the pub, so had to get brekkie from a nearby cafe, but for the price and location I thought this was a great place.

The bedroom was filthy, it hadn’t been cleaned or checked.The plug in the bathroom sink was broken. We wasn’t offered any compensation @ all Will not be staying there again

Nice stay the first night (Thursday). Second nice was almost unbearable. Very loud music and partying all night. Wouldn’t recommend.

Nice staff but room was ok bed and floor let it down 2 singles pushed together and floor boards squeaked cobwebs need cleaning away apart from that lovely place but wished they served food

My wife and I stayed in the George Hotel last night.We was greeted by a lovely young lady behind the bar who was extremely friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our room which the manager sorted out straight away.Comfortable room so we enjoyed our stay.

Bedroom was basic. Two people staying but only one cup in the room. Not informed before stay or on arrival that the kitchen was closed. Booked meal via open table but when went for the meal was told kitchen had been closed for two weeks.

Went in for a few drinks after the remembrance march. Lovely pub and very friendly staff. Were given new menu tasters to try which were amazing. Pork belly and wings. Mentioned that we had a couple of vegetarians and were then given amazing halloumi, mushrooms and moving mountain. The food is amazing and would definitely recommend booking a meal here.

I stayed for a night. The room was comfortable however a pillow case was badly stained, thankfully I had 3 others to use. A large cobweb over the bed suggested the room didn't see a lot of use. A kettle and tea/coffee were provided. No shower gel but I had my own. My room was right over the front door, but not much noise once the rowdies had gone. Mice in the loft woke me up a few times. There was no checkout process, and no receipt offered. No food is available Monday or Tuesday, nor breakfast on Wednesday. I recommend The White Hart for evenings and Relishes next door for breakfast.
