The Star pub in Horsham

I'm a local resident and I really like the establishment, fantastic food and great atmosphere. Sometimes there's a band on which adds to the atmosphere. The manager is great and the staff go out of there way to help. I highly recommend this pub.

A bit rough but hopefully improving.My band played and some punters enjoyed our comedy.There was a verbally aggressive customer but my impression is that the new owner managed the situation very well and no-one was hurt. We were able to stay out of the situation so I don't know what the dispute was.Many customers seemed unphased by the aggro and stayed.My band might cautiously return someday.

Refurbished recently the Star plays second fiddle to its sister pub, The Dragon in Colgate. Not so much a family pub as a drinkers pub with its snooker table and game machines. Attracts young people and older alike who like the sort of atmosphere this promotes. The garden is pleasant but have yet to sample the food.

Great food and lovely people who have now taken over, it’s much more friendly and you are made to feel welcome, so much nicer than it was before, definitely will be coming back, think more people should come and visit the star

Great pub doing American food and live music - and some real ale too. Loads of gins, choice of decent malt whiskies. Really big space inside, lovely staff. Big carpark, not too far from the centre of Horsham. I didn't expect to feel comfortable there due to the previous reputation of the place, but it has *really* changed. A great night out.

Had a friendly atmosphere, with some good music playing. A bit on the pricey side for the drinks though, which I found surprising considering where it is.

It's a local with down to earth people and the food is delicious with generous portions. So lucky it's been given a make over and not turned into a block of flats! Support your local, we don't want to lose it!!

Food is good but expensive. Friendly atmosphere. Watch the parking - you will get fined if you don't go to the bar and enter your registration. This isn't made as obvious as it should be.

Great garden and good food. Didn't go inside (pandemic!) but will visit once allowed.

Well I love this pub being an aged drinker of many years practice I speak with some knowledge and experience. One receives a good welcome from friendly staff , landlord and landlady.No food is served during the week but an excellent carvery is available on Sundays.
