Fabulous town bakery. Wonderful selection and really helpful and friendly staff

They only sell sourdough bread on Fridays and Saturdays. That's what I call a modern switched on bakers.

Like the selection of cakes and pastries. However would like them to label the baguettes and rolls. Great Baguettes and rolls. Got them at the end of the day.

Lovely friendly staff but I feel they need an extra pair of hands , always look under pressure and the amount of times I've been for lunch and they have stopped serving early the soups or jacket potatoes and not making sandwiches. Definitely not the staffs fault . It's definitely the best place for quick lunch in town if you get there early

I can't fault this place. Him who Hates shopping and wanders off! Hates eating standing up, so I've spent many bored afternoons waiting for the Only table in the place, which is by the door, to become vacant so we can chomp on a deliciously hot and tasty pie, washed down with a cold drink, No tea or coffee here, or a tasty sandwich and slice if yummy lemon cake. Smashing server's, warm and friendly. I love it.

Have to agree with the other reviewers, They need to be trained on how to pack your items to take away, They have no idea and your items are in a bad way by the time you get home with them. they are ether stale because they didn't cover the bread or worse. nice food ruined by lack of knowledge on bagging up.

Genuinely unimpressed, photos had to be taken, all iced goods were put in a bag full of the warm goods upside down so by the time I got to the car all the icing and caramel had saturated the paper bags they were in even though I was very careful with the carrier bag thinking the sales assistant would pack the bag properly, the apple sausage rolls were rather overdone but not burnt rather rock hard (too long in the oven at 180), and the tomato cheese bacon turnover was not cooked in the centre almost dough like, ive always found truffles to be of excellent quality therefore matching the high asking price, I was highly dissatisfied with my purchase today and will not be returning

Its good but they don't wrap up your food properly, so the ends of you French rolls are sticking out open to the elements and germs. Not good.
