Had a lunch here with coffee and cake. Coffee was wonderful and creamy. Cake was big and maybe a little too sweet which is saying something coming from me. The Welsh rarebit was disappointing. The cheese was so salty that it was a real struggle to get through. I ordered mine with bacon on but didn't realise until I finished it that they had forgotten it. I'm not complaining as it would have been even saltier. It came with a generous 2 quartered tomatoes..... would have been nice if it was a small salad. The actual venue is bright and clean with attentive staff and the garden centre itself is well stocked with quality items albeit quite pricey.

Sunday 10th April. Held our monthly classic car club breakfast meeting at the Old Barn Garden Centre. Fantastic turn out of around 60 cars and equally fantastic service and breakfasts from the Garden centre restaurant staff. We will be back in November for our last car event of the year. Great selection of indoor and outdoor plants as always. Not at all busy the last time I went and really spacious and well laid out. Will admit not a lot of changes in the indoor plants range since a few months ago. Would recommend coming every 2 or so months if you're looking for something new.

Extremely disappointed with our visit to the restaurant. Food was poor and presentation dismal. I had the sausage on mash with spinach and my wife the macaroni cheese. The sausages were fine but the mash was so over flavoured as to be inedible, and the spinach so overcooked as to be limp and tasteless. The macaroni cheese was so poorly presented it is a shame they thought to serve it. A bowl of pasta with a couple of slices of tomato and some stringy cheese. On top were two doughy pieces of bread. What a shame as the staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, their positive attitude does not make up for such poor food. Will not be visiting again.

It's OK but no one there has any real knowledge of plants and trees and they only stock the norm, if you want anything a bit different don't go there. Specimen plants are not their thing. Their pet section especially dog treats is second to none and very reasonably priced.

First visit today and we loved it! We went to the cafe/restaurant and the food and service were great. Everything was clean, there as a great variety on offer and the kids meals were a good size. There's a lovely little play area outside which the kids really enjoyed. There is seating around the play area which will be handy in the summer. Lots on offer in the garden centre - not just plants and gardening equipment! Will definitely visit again.

Really impressed, lovely plants, gifts, cafe and kids play area.Food was really nice, a touch expensive like the kids lunch box which was a cheese sandwich, 1 finger of short bread, raisins and a carton of juice. Breakfast served until 3pm!Would highly recommend, friendly staff and my son loved the park!Loads of free parking although pulling out onto the duel carriageway seems dangerous trying to get across. Be careful.

Excellent place, lots of bargains today! Cafe is lovely and the food is great. Being a bit of a coffee fan I must say they use decent coffee and it was an enjoyable setting in there. I would recommend highly a visit. The staff are all very friendly as well...

Today a group of ladies that lunch visited the restaurant at old barn and had Christmas lunch. The food was excellent the turkey option and vegetarian options were both delicious, no skimping on portion, service was to a high standard. Staff very attentive it was most enjoyable and a lovely way to spend time with friends in a relaxing environment. 😃

Visited the Old Barn for my mums 90th birthday - mum chose the venue so she knew it was good. Karin at the Old Barn responded to numerous emails to facilitate the trip and sent us the menus so we could order the food beforehand.Karin was so helpful and ensured our visit from the Isle of Wight to meet Mum went without a hitch. On the day Leah, our waitress was superb, looked after us all so well (thank you) and the food was every bit as good as the service. A day to remember. Thank you.
