Bluebells Cafe at Briddlesford Lodge Farm in Isle of Wight

i’m horrified at the way they’ve treated their calves. Locked away in separate pens, only space to stand or lie down, I’ve never seen such depressed baby animals :(They have them next to the cafe so people and their kids can take pictures with them. It’s teaching children that this is an okay way to treat animals.Wouldn’t recommend this cafe at all. Even if you don’t care about the treatment of animals the cafe was understaffed and busy. Very disappointing experience.

Some great local produce and delicious food. Good for a few hours if travelling with families. Cafe availability is hit and miss, at the moment you need to ring to book or risk not being able to visit. Would be 5* if this could be done online so bookings can be made outside of opening hours for those who aren't able to ring during the day.

I took my mum here for an early Mother's treat. What a stunning place. The whole vibe was friendly & welcoming. The team were lovely and very helpful. The food was fresh & all IOW local produce and you could taste it. Maybe a 2nd egg for the big breakfast but other than that I couldn't fault it. Very reasonable price for a stunning breakfast.

Lovely place to eat, always do great food selection, and of reasonable price. Would give 5 stars but on this occasion they reheated the fritata too much or did not keep it covered enough that the whole end piece was hard,dry and tough. Luckily said it was tasty but just left the outer bit (roughly a quarter of the fritata). If someone had come to check on us once we got our food would have pointed it out but nobody did and didn't want to make a fuss as the rest was good. Blubells staff, Please just the check food before it comes out (you could tell visually that this was the case). Thank you.

Great breakfast, very nice location, very neat, tidy and clean restaurant, toilets etc. Eggs (poached and fried) were slightly overcooked but still just about soft in the middle; very, very nice generous-portioned breakfast hash. Very generous pot of tea for two. Nice farm shop too. Would like to come back and watch the beautiful-looking Guernsey cows get milked in the afternoon, perhaps combined with a coffee/tea and cake!

This was our first visit in a long time. The quality of the food is really good but prices have increased, and the quantity has dropped but in silly ways. My husband ordered a bacon and mushroom baguette, but when it arrived it was a white roll; and my scrambled egg, of which there was plenty came with one thin round of toast. The extra slice of toast I ordered cost £1.85! The whole order including tea and black coffee came to over £22.

We called in for a cuppa and cake this afternoon. We were seated prompted and given we knew what we wanted the young man took our order there and then. He returned quickly with our choices. The prices were okay. The cakes were slightly more thanyou might expect but certainly acceptable. I know it wasn’t a complicated or huge order but we were pleased with the reception and speed of delivery. No sign of the kind of problems other reviewers have experienced.

Absolutely fantastic. Lovely staff and place, and the food is exceptional. Fresh local ingredients, fabulous flavours and generous portions. Best scones we ever had.Ham & leek pie was fantastic, pastry 👌🏻. M&Cheese glorious and filling. Covid managed well with track and trace and sanitizer stations. Loved it all, will make it a regular lunch or cream tea destination.

Fantastic brekkie. I had the vegetarian which included hallumi , spinach and sweet potato fries amongst the usual items. Not cheap but worth it.

We opted for the breakfast (for lunch) and it was great. Good coffee too and the staff were lovely. And yes, the butter really was that colour
