Chocolate Apothecary in Isle of Wight

Multiple trips here over the past couple of years with incredible drinks every time hot or cold. Always happy to see you even during a pandemic and would recommend to anyone. Lovely aesthetic and seating inside and limited outside but beautiful in the sun near the seaside if there's space. Will be back! :)

Fabulous hot chocolate (and coffee) with a wonderful view

Probably the best hot chocolate I have had, ever. This beautiful place is not to be missed while in Ryde, right at the Esplanade. The staff is nice and warm as their signature hot chocolates. The collection to buy is impressive and the eat-in options are addictive.

Best hot chocolate in the entire universe and lots of other chocolate goodies to indulge in should you so desire. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and a great way to spend a pleasant hour watching the world go by.

I had the mint tea, but what you're really here for is the unique ambiance!

I go to the Isle of Wight to visit family at least 3-4 times a year. I also have a weakness for the finer things in life, particularly good chocolates. Whilst I have sampled lots of tasty chocolate treats from all over the world, I'm still a firm believer that Britain produces some of the most delicious and yet unpretentious chocolates that you will find anywhere. Indeed, when the Chocolate Apothecary opened a few years ago, I was delighted and sampled some (OK a lot) of their wonderful chocolate cups. I am happy to pay that little more for quality chocolates and do often over indulge (especially whilst on holiday).If you like good chocolate then do visit Chocolate Apothecary as the products are excellent.

Good service, great hot chocolate and fantastic chocolate. As the name suggests it's a kids paradise with some boutique coffees, which are equally an adults paradise. Have a sweet tooth or had a long day, you'll find either need catered for here. Only marked down because of location, overlooking a fairly busy road but that certainly shouldn't stop you going.

Indulgent chocolate treats and excellent coffee. Great place for a little coffee break when visiting Ryde seafront. The cafe is cozy and has a lovely Victorian feel to it.

This is a very olde world shop opposite the sea front. If you have a love of all things chocolate then this IS a shop not to be missed. There is every connotation of hot choc drinks and a myriad of home made exquisite tasting chocolates that can be chosen to be placed in gift boxes and bags. Milk free dark chocolates are also a speciality. I have to say it was the best hot choc drink I have ever tasted. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
