Crab Shed in Isle of Wight

Would be 5 Stars but they ran out Crab Pasties...We made our way down to the Crab Shed and Steep Hill Cove on the back of a couple of reviews from friends and were not disappointed. The only issue was that they had run out of the much anticipated Crab Pasty, (not sure they should ever be doing that!) but this was mitigated by the absolute joy of the salmon pasty that were available. The location is a delight as is the Crab Shed. Both well worth the journey from Ryde.

Crab, Mackeral and Salmon Pasties. Best place to go to get them, get there when it opens or there won't be any left 🤣. Can buy them frozen to take home too. Crab pasty is my favourite bit the others are definitely worth a try. Amazing as always. And Great Friendly Staff too 👍🏻I would've taken a picture but I ate it too quickly 😁

Steephill Cove, near Ventnor, Isle of Wight. The Crab Shed serves (amongst other good stuff) crab pasties, like Cornish pasties, but filled with crab meat. Delicious and should be world famous! We sat down with a pasty and watched the waves crash on to the shore.

Gorgeous location at Steephill Cove. Fantastic little business with great crab pasties served hot to serve. Can't beat it after a nice walk from Ventnor. Make sure to ask for your pasty to go and sit over on the rocks for the ultimate seaside experience!

Delicious crab pasty at the crab shed yesterday.Great view and prices were pretty reasonable too. The mackerel ciabatta was also delicious.The crab shed is at the bottom of a very steep hill. We parked at the botanical gardens, which was £5 for a whole day, and then walked down the slope, which was manageable with a pushchair although I wouldn't want to try it with a wheelchair!

The pasties are delicious. The surrounding is stunning. Steep Hill Cove is perfect for a relaxing day out.

Go early at noon - as soon as it opens. Closed Tuesday. Food quality was good but portion size in my opinion could have been better. I had the spiced mackerel. How much would if have been for another bit?
