Stopped for a beer after a walk down Shanklin Chine and loved this place. I and others in my party all commented that we could happily sit here in the comfy garden area drinking and listening to the sea all afternoon.Comes across as more of a restaurant with a bar than just a bar which I'm sure given the location is an amazing place to enjoy some food and quality time. The food (which we didn't eat unfortunately) looked amazing when we saw it delivered to other tables

Firstly don't be put off by the outside! Its a delightful hidden gem.Food was absolutely amazing, everything fresh daily. They make their own hummus and falafel, fish was huge and was light and cooked to perfection. Really good size portions. Now the dessert. Chocolate fudge cake (it was vegan) was out of this world. So rich and chocolaty and serve warm. OMG I died and went to chocolate heaven. This place seats about 30 inside but has out door seating as well, right on the beach. We'll worth a visit

Not pet friendly unfortunately but have visited a couple of times and sat outside, good food and Ale

This was a last minute decision and they don't book so had to wait for a table. Was told an hour, but seated in half hour. Food came half hour later and was worth the wait and every penny. Lovely staff, good service with call buttons on the tables.

What a brilliant litte place, stunning setting, great beer and and fantastic food!So good we went twice in a week. They have 3 local ales on, all are kept well and taste fresh. The food is superb, and the little wait we had due to how busy the place is was made all the better by the staff interacting with my 7yr old daughter.I can't wait to return!

What a lovely surprise at the end of your walk on the promenade, went there 4 out of my 8 day stay on the island . Can't fault any of the meals I had over the days ranging from fish and chips . Burger even had the steak , proper homemade food well worth the price

Rightfully one of the best pubs on the island.Normally able just to turn up for food and drink. Great pub food, large selection of salads and gluten and allergy free menu items. Good beer selection. Great outlook onto the Solent. Watch far-flung ships pass slowly as you sip and dine.Inside seating as well. Good place to rest between the Chine tour and the beach.Park 500metres out and walk, it makes for breath taking view.

The best places in town. Excellent food, amazing location. Down by the very far end of the beach at the bottom of Shanklin Chine. The best, you are not requested to leave when it's time to close. Like many other places in Shanklin. Always a warm welcome. Even very late for a last drink.

Oh dear. How did we make this mistake twice. Firstly I must point out the location is amazing and its not bad pub grub however...On both our visit last year and this. It was a joke.Today we were asked repeatedly could we pay cash, no issue, machine was brokenIt wasn't busyWe waited half an hour for drinks, asked twice. Well over an hour for food. Lots of people around us complaining, the staff did not careI don't think this place needs to rely on returning customers based on its tourism. Which is a good thing as they wouldn't get themAny complaints were "short staffed" or too busy however they kept seating people ( at no point more than 10 tables) and then ignoring them! I honestly would have left, asked for everything at least twice ( Inc £8 of change they were not having as a tip) was honestly a disaster but in a laughable way. If you want a lovely beach location this is it.. that's where it ends, no customer service, no clearing tables and definitely staff who don't wanna be there. Really hope this lovely little place sort itself one day

A lovely old pub which is tucked away but worth finding! Amazing views over the beach and sea, very quaint old pub and helpful staff. We didn't eat but the food looked good.
