I think this was probably the worse meal we never had. The menu didn’t exist. Not enough staff. Wine menu was hopeless. We left without eating because everything we hoped to order wasn’t available. How can you call yourself a Gastro Pub when you are unable to deliver the menu. To make matters worse the waiter referred to me as ‘darling’ !!!!!

Nice pub & friendly staff. Vegan menu looked pretty good but unfortunately didn't really deliver. Crispy tofu was actually battered silken tofu which had little flavour.Mushroom risotto was described as containing spinach and onion but these seemed to be missing and the dish was a little bland.I'm sure the "normal" menu was probably better judging by the reviews but I would suggest some taste testing of the vegan nosh to pep it up a little.

We went for Tapas, really well made, I am still not sure about the calamari with lemon curd, everything tells me that it shouldn't work, but it does! I can't wait to go back, just to double check. They do a whole GF menu which makes things easier, and they do a non alcoholic cider, that actually tastes great. Will definitely be going back.

Phoned up on a Saturday evening to ask if it was necessary to book. They asked what time we would be coming and we said,”6:30” They replied” you might be ok but booking is advised.” Arrived at 6:30 to be shocked that there was only one couple in there eating. We were still shown where to sit even though it was empty, when we would have liked to of picked our own table. Totally unnecessary. Stayed until just before 9pm and in that time only two people arrived for a drink. Ordered veg root pie and it was basically just carrots in a gravy with mash on top. No other root veg in it, and it was probably one of the blandest meals I had ever eaten. It also came with two extremely small slices of bread that were slightly stale. No flavour and portions far too small. Even the burger and fries looked small. I feel sorry for any hospitality business like this that isn’t busy, but moving forward, I do hope that my review will not be taken a criticism but instead some advice to help the food and service improve. P.s. the waitress that served us had to check that the food was homemade.

Really enjoyed our lunch at The Fleming Arms. It was beautifully presented and tasted lovely! I had the Nut roast and my husband had the lamb and both were very good. The staff were very nice too!

Ordered a meal that took an hour till it came out. Ordered 2 fish and chips at a family meal and both were off and the fish stank of ammonia. Eventually spoke with the chef. He said the fish came in yesterday and he had sold 4 already with no complaints but it does have a slight smell. Got to the till and the chef who was the duty manager had at first only took 10% off for the off fish. The waitress got it refunded after speaking the manager. It has put me off there again.

We visit the Fleming fairly regularly, and more often than not eat when we are there. The Tapas options on the menu are ideal for anyone who can't make up their mind when ordering (usually us), and we've tried the roasts a few times on a Sunday which measure up well if you're someone who likes heading out for a roast (also us). But it's the warm welcome that sets this place apart and keeps us coming back - we can't recommend it enough!

Location is good, plenty parking. Staff are all friendly and helpful. We had a Christmas dinner. Really disappointed £32-50 for a three course meal…. One would expect the food to be excellent. Starter was ok. But main and desert was very disappointing. I’d go back as the pub is good. But Dinner not again.

Really disappointed with the food here. Chicken wings were slimy and were not at all enjoyable. I had the roast pork belly and that was just a mess. The red cabbage had been over cooked the mash had not been seasoned and was really dry, the belly pork itself was dry, tough and had been cooked all wrong. Could barely bite through the crackling! Had to drown the meal in gravy to get through it. The carrots were best part of the meal and they were good to be fair. Staff were really nice and chatty too. Really nice inside and decent park for the kids but is extremely overpriced for the food served. Has so much potential too.

Wow, this pub restaurant has been transformed by the recent owners.Lucy and her team have vastly improved the the Fleming arms, so much so that it's unrecognisable to the old establishment. Now the service and the food are both fantastic matched by the new decor.
