Just down the road from Shanklin, Isle of Wight Railway Station this fab hotel is an adventure to get to if you live on the mainland. Take a train, you can buy a ticket all the way through including the ferry or hovercraft, check your ticket. Do you have a two together railcard, or family & friends railcard, or if there are 3 or more of you get a group save, no railcard required. You'll find a great hotel, by the sea, great food, great people, great service, Saturday's a disco is included in your stay & Sundays stay for a great Sunday Lunch. Great Staff, Great Food, Great Location, Great People, Great Venue. There is a town at Shanklin too and all along that rail route too explore the IoW. Give them a call ask for Charlotte & mention this review, they also have conference facilities.

Room was good, great view, there was no chef on the Saturday night, so I was offered Sunday dinner instead, I was pleasantly surprised, the Sunday roast was massive, very nice and enjoyable. The lady who was in charge ( Charlotte ) and her other half, were lovely, nothing seemed to much trouble and there work rate was amazing. The front garden of the hotel could do with a bit of tlc as they have a lovely terrace, could be really good.

Had a few drinks in here one night and came back for a meal. Nice food at a great price. I think it's under new ownership. It needs more customers but doesn't look as if it's open (apart from one sign) from the street as it's set back a bit from the road. Worth a visit though.

Friendly welcoming staff. Not staying there but welcomed into the bar a restaurant with open arms. Will probably stay there in the future

We stayed over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. The hotel has recently been taken over by a new couple and their family, andthey have a lot of work to do as the previous owners took their staff with them. Currently (Aug 2021) the hotel is missing a chef which is a major inconvenience for them. The property is in need of a lot of work to bring it up to a decent condition, the reported 4 star rating doesn't accurately reflect the hotels true condition. That said the staff appear willing to make improvements and plan to make changes later this winter apparently.

THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL!! Gracellie was booked as our staycation honeymoon venue after our away honeymoon was cancelled. After the booking was made on Expedia I tried calling the number shown online to confirm that they received the booking. The call went dead. This was the case for the following 3 weeks until the day we arrived there. I emailed the manager and 2 days later received a poorly punctuated response of 2 sentences to say that the phone lines were down but thanks for my details. (I was later told by the manager that they were waiting on BT to run pipes under the hotel to get them back up and running, but he had not bothered to communicate that in the email or to Expedia). At this point I got very uncomfortable and tried to find alternative accommodation but to no avail. When we got to the hotel, around 9am, the front desk was unmanned and looked like it had been deserted for years. The outside looked like a 2nd hand car sales lot, there was a hole in the wall in the reception and the decor was very dated. The toilets were dirty and rundown. We were not going to spend our honeymoon there. We went away and found alternative accommodation then returned to find a young lady at the desk who could not even find our booking but said she would ensure that it was cancelled. Two days later we were charged! The 1 good thing was that the manager was polite and immediately refunded us when we went back there to ask for our money back. Otherwise, this is a very poor excuse for a hotel. If you have travelled and been to real hotels, then you know.

Superb location - Charlotte and team went out of thier way to accommodate our family and make us feel comfortable. Rooms are large and clean however as a 4 star hotel it definitely needs renovating.

My thoughts about this hotel are, a 4 star graded hotel , the room is spotless clean ,I can not fault the room ,which has an on suite bathroom ,and the sea view is great, which I asked for ,Tom the manager is a very hand,s on ,we had a problem with our toilet, which was taken car straight away, room 6 has the best seaview around. The breakfast was o.k ,but in my opinion could have been a Little more on the plate ,but I am sure if I ask ,this could be resolved, but overall a good hotel, staff very friendly.

It's a great location however the roast dinner was not available the coffee machine isn't working they had run out of steak. Sevice was slow and the staff needed a uniform and tidy up.other members of Staff found it ok to have a loud conversation so all could here in the restaurant. Lunch menus were dirty on paper sheets not even laminated. The wine list descriptions are rubbish the floor is is peeling up and poorly repaired. The outside is a car dealers car park and very untidy broken fences etc. Come on clear it up the whole place is in a need of paint. It looks like another underfunded large hotel.
