Hewitt's Restaurant in Isle of Wight

Went here for a meal with friends ..and was not disappointed. From when we walked in we were greeted with friendly front of house staff and seated by the patio doors looking out in to the garden. Prompt friendly service through out our meal and attentive staff catering for all your needs. Food was simply amazing especially the scallops and the fillet steak. Isle of Wight food on the menu which is always nice to see. Fantastic wine menu and cocktails available . Also beer and cider. Specials board available. Parking available outside. Wouldn't hesitate to return and highly recommend. ❤️

Absolutely superb meal on our wedding anniversary! Staff were attentive, smart and knew the menu. Food was unpretentious and beautifully cooked. Warm plates, generous portions and lovely cocktails. Highly recommended.

Staff were very attentive and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Bed was very comfortable and rooms were lovely. Wish I was able to stay longer!

When you arrive at the hotel you have to walk through the restaurant to book yourself in and you’re greeted by welcoming staff that are friendly and helpful. The rooms are wonderful. On the desk you will find a welcome tray with drinks, kettle, and a cup. The beds are sooooo soft 😍, never slept so well in a hotel bed. Bathroom has a massive window allowing loads of fresh air into the rooms, and a big bathtub! In the morning we didn’t have any food because I woke up late 🤣 but I’m guessing the food is as good as the service 👍 Overall I would definitely stay here again and you should too.

HiChose this restaurant due to his high ranking and it didn't disappoint,the scallops and prawns starter was excellent, the mains were on a different level the vegetarian bean stroganoff was out of this world and the sea bass was mind-blowing tooOverall very satisfied

Beautifully presented room and bathroom. White sheets and soft white towels and a comfy bed. Generous tea/coffee making tray with fresh milk on request. Parking made easy by supportive and helpful host Dean. All questions answered promptly and helpfully prior to booking. The main event, however, is the food in the evening absolutely delicious with a great choice of wine to accompany. Very good value for money.

I was taken here for my birthday dinner. My son was always recommending it. I was definitely not disappointed. The food looked and tasted delicious. The service was great. The restaurant was clean and friendly. We will definitely be going back when next on the island. We highly recommend going.

Our daughter,son in law and family gave us a voucher for 3 course meal and bottle of wine. We'll it's one of the best meals we have had, couldn't find a fault if we tried. We also had the pleasure of meeting a lovely gentleman called Harry who was 100 years old, and his lovely friend June. We had a most enjoyable evening. Thankyou for great service.

I was taken here by my family for my surprise birthday celebrations and I loved it. Brilliant food, excellent service and super friendly staff. My wife, who organised it all, said that they couldn't have been more helpful and went the extra mile to make it a very special evening. I fancied pretty much everything on the menu and will definitely be going back to try more of their excellent looking dishes which included some great vegetarian and gluten free options.

Room review only:Stayed over Christmas while visiting family in Newport. Lovely, huge rooms and bed, and super central. Very affordable for what you get, included breakfast which you often wouldn't get for the price. Helpful and friendly staff who were very accomodating with an earlier check-in. Can't comment on the restaurant as it was closed over the 3 days we stayed there.
