The Highdown Inn was a great location to stop plenty of outside space at the back for parking and also ta les outside. We went on St George's day and the special menu was fantastic2 course meal for under £20 and the size of portions was very big. You won't be disappointed. Fully recommend this pub when travelling to the Needles

We had the most amazing lunch here whilst finishing our trip to the Isle of White with a walk up the Needles. Would highly recommend. The mussels as wells as the Duck were both to die for. Thank you!

Three of us went for a meal having been told it was really good. 2 out of three meals were awful. All meals over priced.

We had an evening meal here and enjoyed it very much, nice atmosphere, friendly & helpful staff & customers, would like to return when back on the island. Recommended by Weston Manor B&B

This is not pub food. We were so impressed with the quantity of our meals, Goan seafood curry and a chicken/leek pie absolutely gorgeous. Staff were amazing too

The Highdown is slightly off beat, roadwise, but well worth the visit. Quiet rural ambience, good food aanndd, if sitting outside, a good view up to the Downs. Well worth the challenge should you feel the need to work off the calories ☺️ Lol!

Very good Sunday Roast, all the locals were very pleasant. One of the best places we ate at on the island that weekend.

·

A proper local pub. Some nautical decor but not too much, with cutesy crockery and a reasonably sized bar area. Good selection of drinks. Not open late, but a friendly establishment with good service and a nice atmosphere. They offer a wide range of food options.

Great pub. Lovely staff. Delicious food. Friendly atmosphere. Have visited several times and found it to be the same high standard each time. Highly recommend!

Had the best Sunday lunch ever in my life at Highdown Inn after a long walk around Freshwater/Needles. Cosy log fire kept us warm. Great selection of ales. Food was served piping hot and with generous portions. Waitresses very helpful. Will definitely return. Dog friendly.
