Excellent food with lovely staff. Highly recommended! Well worth a visit

Sunday lunch, what a treat baked crab starter and then roast beef, it was superb, located just back from the sea, the owner and staff were brilliant. A must go to small restaurant if you are in Ventnor, but you need to book

My only question is why doesn't this Bistro get more recognition. The food, ambience, staff are all top notch. We were slotted in with 30 mins notice and its 5 star food at normal prices. What more do you want from and evening out.

19/3/22 absolutely fabulous!!! We went to The Bistro for my partners 50th a party of 8, every meal was fantastic, service fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for more, fabulous restaurant with a fabulous atmosphere. Keep up the good work guys, until next time see you soon on our next trip. A must to visit people xxx

Absolutely wonderful food and very friendly and helpful staff. We were spoilt for choice, 4 different fish dishes to choose from plus several meat dishes and vegetarian. The best food I’ve had on the Isle of Wight and I’ve lived here for 16 years. Will definitely be back

Such good food and great service. Marinated herring with coleslaw, seafood linguine, red berry cheesecake with apple pie ice cream. All wonderful! Others in the party had equally fantastic dishes.

We had a fantastic meal here. All four dishes we tried were absolutely great and the portion sizes were very generous! The white wine we had was also excellent for a cheaper option on the wine list. Staff were friendly and very good with my girlfriend's nut allergy. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, the service was not rushed and courses came out at good intervals. The quality here was genuinely surprising- Ventnor has come a long way in culinary terms!
