Ordered a takeaway this evening, informed its the last trading night for Monsoon. Sad news for us, as its our favourite takeaway. But we wish you a happy retirement and Good luck xx

Good food, better to eat in rather than takeaway though in my opinion

I was a little bit wary when I read some of the recent reviews but there was nothing to worry about - Monsoon was still as good as ever.It was Bank Holiday weekend, so it was collection only but the food was ready on time and was brilliant - there were eight of us and everyone chose a different dish, so it was not an easy order. The welcome was as friendly it always had been and, to cap it all, we got a 10% discount for collecting our food. I stand by my original review of two years ago.Always excellentGreat food and lovely service. Thank you

I've ordered from this place twice now, from my own experience the food is good, the flavour is there, the delivery in nice and fast, the meat melts in your mouth, i have nothing to complain about, however they ain't consistent with their food, the other day my boyfriends family ordered it and they said it wasn't that good, the meat was dry and chewy and just not a pleasant experience; so next time you order make sure they are having a good food day, or have luck on your side.

Always tastes good , always good quality. I have seen some reviews about waiting a hour, I dont mind this at all as I know it's been cooked properly and it's a super popular place , because it's good!! If you want fast food go to McDonald's if you want a decent tasty stick with these guys

Valentine’s Day, ordered a takeaway as a special treat, wished I had saved the £40. Poppadoms first and we received 5 small tubs mint yogurt but no chutney or onion. I love onion bhaji’s and always have them as a starter, I received four in my order but they went into the bin as they had an unpleasant taste and were very soggy in the middle, husband ordered mixed kebab, he said he might just as well have had a beef burger and of course he binned his onion bhaji. I ordered a chicken korai and asked for it to be spicy, there was absolutely no flavour in that curry at all, I tried two pieces of the chicken and sauce and found it so tasteless I couldn’t eat it, husband had chicken tikka tandoori, he ate three pieces then had one that tasted awful so the rest was binned. I really do not recommend Monsoon at all, save your money.

Worst indian restaurant ever visited. Was there just for take away. First it took 15 min to take my order and after that the guy said it will take 1 hour to get take away food which is completely ridiculous. Very annoying behaviour. Strongly not recommended place to visit if you're fan of Indian food.....

Will never use again.I will never use this place again. How rude had the phone put down on us twice. We asked for no peas in the rice takeaway delivered peas in the rice. Curry was asked not to be too hot and it was. Was informed peas are already in the rice. Even though we got told he will make sure I get better next time. Would not offer to cook and redelivery of what was asked for. Very Disappointed LACK of Customer Care Service. I will go elsewhere in future

Just got treated like dirt on a shoe unfortunately. The manager took one look at us and started shaking his head saying only reservations for tonight. I was laughing thinking he was being playful because we did have a reservation. Then I realised he was deadly serious. I was shocked. I tried to remind him of our phone call only 2.5 hours ago, checked I had the correct number, I was in disbelief. They couldn't look me in the eye just kept repeating there are no reservations in my name (they didn't even check the list) and waving their hands in the air telling me they're too "busy" and come back tomorrow. I am a mother of an 8 month old baby, I hadn't seen my husband all week, I'd put on a dress, was exhausted, hungry and really looking forward to my only night out in a long time. Can't describe the upset, disappointment, shock and hangryness. We used to get take away from them all the time and the guy on the phone always sounds hassled but I didn't realise their customer service was this bad in the restaurant too. Never going back. I think to be fair to the manager, he is very old and can't take the heat and needs to get out of the kitchen as it were. Such a shame.
