Visited here for cream teas and ice cream. Found the staff welcoming and friendly, and the food was excellent! Scones were fresh and warm still. Recommend a visit here.

If your going to Godshill, then a visit to "Old World Tea Rooms" is a must. Such a beautiful place with plenty of character. My wife and I adore it there.

Absolutely appalling service. So we arrived at lunchtime, about 1:30pm, were seated and we ordered and paid for 5 meals (family of 5). Waited and waited and waited, until a lady came to our table explaining that she needed to issue a full refund because they had no food! If they had no food, why did they take the order and allow us to pay? Absolutely appalling, I do not recommend this place

When you are in Godshill you need to have a cream tea! Very close to the large, free (!) car park, the tea rooms are very easy to get to and attractive looking. We went on an extremely hot day but managed to find a shady spot outside near the bushes - we were a little concerned about wasps as we were ordering sweet food but none even looked at us let alone tried to eat our jam. There was a sign as we went in which said there may be delays due to staff shortages but although it was busy it didn't take long at all, two young girls were running around in the 30 degree heat but everyones food seemed to come out quickly and they did a great job.We ordered a very reasonably prices cream tea for 2 - the scones were absolutely lovely, i presume home-made on the premises, and they were so light and fluffy, possible the best scones i have ever had and believe me, i have had a few! Plenty of jam and clotted cream, we also had tea, coffee and two very large milkshakes, all of which were really nice.Looking around at what others were eating makes me feel the rest of the menu will be as nice as the scones. So, great position, great food at reasonable prices, and very good, friendly and efficient service, I would heartily recommend it!!

The 'fast food' version of the traditional cream tea. The scone was well baked but everything else came packaged. Service was prompt and the staff were pleasant. Not bad value for the money I guess but not the experience I was expecting...

Wanted to give one star really, but the Staff were friendly and service was quick, so got to be fair. Seeing the ratings and photos of others makes me wonder if we were just unlucky. Ordered a cream tea and a coffee, which were below ordinary by taste. Served in takeaway plastic cups (to everyone that days, despite every one was sitting in) and a bit surprising to find out that the cream teas listed in the menu, do not include the price of the tea itself!

I wish I saw the reviews before coming here. I don't mind if the food and drinks are served on paper plates and cups, but the scones was really really bad! I've never had one to this standard before. The coffee was also bad because it wasn't filtered coffee as stated. I'm pretty sure it was instant granules and it had that metallic bad coffee taste that you get from a cheap coffee machine.

Nice food but unfortunately ruined by disposable paper cups with no tea in a pot. Sticky tables like some split a beer over them.

·

Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed.Everything is served on disposables, no cups, cutlery or plates. Butter, cream, jam are all packeted - felt like a scone from a supermarket. Then all that rubbish gets mixed together and chucked, no recycling.Today was especially windy, and all of this litter was blowing out into Godshill. The staff were doing their best to keep the place clean, but it was just a mess. The staff were nice and friendly, working really hard.I'd recommend finding a smaller place.

Amazing little place where you can make lovely memories while visiting Isle of Wight. The cream teas are famous for their mouth-watering flavour and deliciousness. You have to visit this place if you get the pleasure to stay in Isle of Wight.
