We ate here last night as a 6, service was friendly and attentive but not in your face. Food was amazing, good quality and great value. Would definitely recommend a visit and we will be back on our next trip.

Lamb on the rocks! First experience of this restaurant and an excellent one. The food cooked exactly to your taste in a unique way. Loved the atmosphere and service was fantastic. One surprise was the aperitif after. All in all a great evening!

Amazing experience. Fresh Isle of Wight steak, quality produce. Endless fries and beaufiuk fresh salad- both delicious, leaving you very satisfied and full. Nothing too much for the welcoming staff. Fresh cucumber water and bread with oil/balsamic &/or butter too on arrival.

Sarah was amazing explaining everything, the food was exceptional and I highly recommend a bottle of the Hopes End blend to match what a great experience cooking your own choice of food on hot volcanic rocks. You must visit & experience this fantastic way of eating the whole staff are excellent & Jamie is great with the cheeky Apple Sours shots I had 2 can't wait to come back.

I was a little put out when they said that I had to cook my own food .... but this turned out to be a fabulous lunch! A great concept in a super location, well worth trying and dogs allowed over a lunch time. If you've not done this before I'll give a brief description. You basically order he meat,.fish or cheese that you want and it comes.tp.you.wothna.got lava stone and to cook it as you go! Served with bottom less fries and a salad it's a really good way to turn eating into an experience and all the better.if you like your steak done a certain way! It may seem a little pricey, at £25 for a sirloin, but our total bill for 6 was no much more than a good pub lunch. So go for the experience and the great good! It is very honest, as you get to see the quality before you eat! Super friendly staff and a lovely town to visit!

On the Rocks was an atplace to eat. You got a hot stone and andless chips and salad. Then you had a choice of Tuna, lamb, steak and other to cook yourself. Best Tuna I ever had. One of the best things if your chips get cold you can heat them up on the hot stone. Great experience and very helpful staff.

Words fail me at how utterly AMAZING this restaurant is! The service is out of this world, restaurant spotlessly clean, food exceptionally fresh and tasty. Pudding OMG!! Lovely touch of apple sour shots and sweets with the bill. Honestly can not fault this restaurant. Went twice during our week long stay.Highly recommend.

This is one of those places which give you a chunk of steak or similar, and a hot stone, and you cook it yourself at the table.I had a rump steak, which was a very generous portion indeed, and my wife had the tuna. Both were absolutely delicious and accompanied by garlic butter, sauces, mayo etc. You get bottomless chips and salad too. There are other sea food choices and an halloumi main for non-meat eaters.Surroundings are pleasant, the service smiley and efficient. Recommended for casual dining.
