Pencil Cottage in Isle of Wight

Good size garden and okay cakes.Unfortunately, only 4 tea options that could be purchased from any supermarket. Scones were super dry and the place smelled heavily like burned hotdog. It’s a shame as the place has potential.

Food was amazing 👏 the staff were so attentive & the service was quick. This is our 2nd visit & we shall be back, lovely experience..

Very nice tea room right next to the Shanklin Chine. We had nice cream tea there which is really reasonable priced. Cream tea are fresh and tasty. They do sandwiches and pizza there,too. Tea room is first come first served. - you can call the book a table. Most of the sitting area are our door. We had a nice and relaxing time there. Five star.

Truly the best tea garden we found in Isle of Wight. I loved the garden it’s so beautifully decorated and maintained. I absolutely love the ambiance. It’s definitely a wonderful experience. 100% recommend it!! The best part is it’s right next to the Chine so easy to plan day around.

Beautiful place, lovely staff and great tea/coffee. The service was a bit slow and inconsistent though (I say inconsistent because some customers were being served by staff, whilst some were asked to take their orders to take on their own - I don't mind either way, but would be nicer to understand the system if you're there for the first time). However, given the beauty of the place, I'd say its worth the wait and a must go as you can use it as a rest stop before/after visiting Shanklin chine which is next to it.

Fab location, delicious food and friendly staff. Proper home made cooking. Went back several days on my bike tours around the island.

Having been to a fair few cream teas this was by far the best I have ever had! Homemade giant scones. Home made jam. The garden was quirky and lots of space for covid distancing. Thanks for making it an epic birthday

It's a lovely place!! I love it, sooo cute. We arrived in the morning time, so we needed to wait till 10 to order. They have nice cakes, ice creams even some cider as well. No alcoholic drink can be order before 11. You can sit outside in a beautiful garden. Nice with garden statues.
