Pointer Inn in Isle of Wight

Friendly and welcoming pub with a beer-garden. Particularly good to see both big and small sized portions of main course meals.(They even had Gales HSB on tap, which is a real taste of nostalgia for me)

A very well received voucher from a close friend of my partners was a lovely spent afternoon at the Pointer. Booking is a must. We had an absolutely superb meal and a good dessert in a warm and comfortable setting. We were well looked after and would highly recommend anybody pay a visit. COVID measures in effect and hand sanitiser available. Take the time to immerse yourself in a bit of history and visit the nearby church, one of the oldest in the country.

Lovely little pub, great food, good quality and sizing, lovely customer service and atmosphere! Cater for all dietary needs and have a great menu, would definitely visit again when we come back over for another break!

Great place have visited several times now. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is really tasty with a choice of a smaller portion if you want. We booked the covered patio which is great and I would recommend booking as this place seems popular. Wish it was my local!

Great pub and lovely garden, pleasure to return after a year on the mainland! Really great staff and had a sandwich for lunch today. Will come back again, hopefully we won't have to wait for another year!

Had a very nice bacon cheese burger (added the options) and the macaroni cheese. Both very nice, especially the burger (and chips). The garden dining / drinking space is nice and spacious. Choose your table wisely though as a few are on their last legs. Great table service throughout.

Went as an adult family group and we had a great time, good service, good range of real ale (if that interests you) and fantastic food.The atmosphere is relaxed and you have the option to sit inside or in a covered outside area when you book.As you can see from the pictures the food is lovely and everyone in the group loved everything they ordered, would definitely recommend and will be going again soon.

Though it's a busy period, my boyfriend and I still managed to be seated for dinner short notice. Lovely staff, very kind and informative. Subtle decor and serve a scrumptious range of food. The pub being dog-friendly was a bonus! (If you like that sort of thing).
