Poppins Cafe in Isle of Wight

Visited here on the 5th October 2021, wasn't greeted by anybody and went in and sat down, no range of different foods, and our table was dirty. the woman cleared other tables around us but didn't even bother to realise we were there, after 5 minutes we had to ask her to do it. As I ordered tea I expected to pay with cash or card, but to my surprise the woman behind the till pulled out her phone for me to pay on there! Don't go here, If you want to go out for tea and cake, eat elsewhere. Not a friendly atmosphere.

A Quick pop in for snacks and tea and this was a lovely experience, friendly owner and staff lovely pannis good choices like tuna melt, bacon etc etc. For 4 people £25 with drinks. Cash only.

Lovely little spot. Good food, lovely service, and my little boy was kept busy with the small tool box full of bits and pieces . Try it!

What a lovely cafe very helpful staff and the coffee was nice as was the toasted teacake.

Small cafe that serves hot & cold beverages, cakes, sandwiches, Panini's, filled baguettes, then there's the all day breakfast courtesy of the microwave what i made the mistake of ordering!It wasn't even hot & my plate was full of puddles of water, I'm sorry but if you're going to have a cooked breakfast on your menu then learn how to cook it fresh, UNBELIEVABLE using the cheapest of low quality ingredients, I tasted a tiny piece of my raw looking sausage & if I'd of eaten this plate of garbage, I would of been sick, totally inedible & a waste of money, I didn't even get my coffee until after the food was served which wasn't even half a cup of coffee, I don't know how this place stays in business.

Awful place, we ordered 2meals, Jack pots with cheese, both cold +hard!! and of course undercooked after a long wait waiting for my meal they tried again!! - - the result same undercooked food again, and no apology, only then did they say, (we have been having trouble with microwave all day) thanks Poppins for your don't care less attitude

Friendly staff, reasonably priced food, good breakfast for £4.50.

Nice little cafe with some outside space in Shanklin town centre Homemade scones and cakes, everything made to order. Very reasonable prices. Papers available to read. Very pleasant staff and service. Really easy going. :-)

We walk past and never seem to have the time to go in...well today we did...it was delightful. We had a bacon and stilton panini and a couple of milkshakes......excellent and we will be back!

Most welcoming place in Shanklin or even whole Isle of Wight, and I should know I've been living there over 2 years and visited enough places. Very friendly, family-feel about the service. Excellent value, great choice of food for vegetarians, esp. paninis. Couldn't recommend anywhere else in town to 'Poppin' for a beverage, nice snack, or just to sit down and relax!
