Richie's Diner in Isle of Wight

My wife has really bad food poisoning from our order on Friday night. Was enjoying a relaxing break at a lovely hotel with our son and this completely ruined everything. She has been throwing up for 2 days straight now and has been completely off her food. Their social media is a left dormant and hasn't been updated with any status in years so there's no one to discuss with for a refund either. We ordered a foot long hot dog each.

Ordered a double bacon burger it was very Bland the bacon didn't have taste to it either it costs £13 for the burger which come with chips I upgraded this too cheesy chips and it was the same not much flavour even the cheese was very bland. Other people with me had also ordered the hot dog with chilli they said this was ok. Another person ordered a hot dog which come with no onion or any sauce was basically just a bun and a hot dog. And the final person had ordered half a chicken which was very very dry and no taste. Kinder Bueno milkshakes don't order it it couldn't even taste the Kinder Bueno in it. Before you think that we've all got covid because we cant taste anything we haven't haha. Reason for leaving two stars is because it was still edible but not enjoyable.

Deleted bad reviewI left a negative review about the cost of a cup of tea recently, I see it has been removed I guess by the owner.Rather than taking this as constructive criticism and reviewing the price they choose to delete.

Great quality food, varied grill menu, well cooked, well presented and very tasty.The establishment is very clean and cosy.So if you want to treat yourself to a gourmet burger you don't have to look further than here.

Was charged 50p for a pot of ketchup... I think that's stupid considering you serve chips.... Hot dogs were not really footlong when they changed the sizing of sausage and put 2 in rather than 1. Coleslaw was missing.... Medium rare steak was well done..... Loved this place before but won't be going back

Disgusting! Takeaway was completely cold. These postive reviews have to be fake, this was terrible!- Soggy burger- Cold chips + weird smell (inedible)- Nacho's soggy and cold taste was horrible (inedible)Really poor quality!

On the downside I ordered a rump steak cooked rare and it was well done which was a little disapointing at the price. However the chips were well cooked and really nicely seasoned as were the potato skins. It was delivered when they said it would be so another us. Overall a mixed bag.

Double doughnut burger was incredible, milkshakes amazing too. Service was excellent. Only con was had to wait a fairly long time for the food but even that wasn't a massive issue. Definitely would eat here again. Also the decoration was nice and the diner was very very clean.

Excellent American style food. Really good hamburgers. Don't let the decor fool you! The Empire State burger in picture was perhaps a bit too big!!

I have had delivery from Richie's for a long time now but tonight was my first time eating in. Not one complaint. Service was quick, food was amazing, music/atmosphere was perfect. I have no issues with recommending or returning!
