Ryde Castle in Isle of Wight

Stayed here for two nighs while on our cycle tour of the area.Really lovely hotel, with great staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. Allowed to park our bike in the hotel's garden and check in early as we arrived earlier than expected.Enjoyed the food, lovely views from the bar and breakfast was superb. Staff and Management here are terrific.Our bedroom, room number 7, was very comfy.Hopefully will return again. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Went to celebrate granddaughters birthday (Her choice of venue given the whole Island to choose from.)Had some good beers on offer, sadly designated driver unable to drink. Varied menu with fare but limited range of food, average prices for a pub chain supplying food, nothing like home cooked food, kitchen staff these days in pub chains tend to be technicians building meals, not chefs cooking them.Nice surroundings, staff excellent.

Firstly, the staff were lovely, but the food in all cases was a disappointment. Clearly pre prepared meals, which we should have expected from a chain pub, but still a shame. Lovely inside and the toilets were clean with good covid signage, but it was cold inside the pub and we all sat with our scarves still on.We didn't end up having pudding there, we went elsewhere to get warm and to have coffee and cake.

Christmas Dinner/Lunch was wonderful. Couldn't fault it. Staff great, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Thanks for making Christmas Day so stress free for our large family gathering.

We are so pleased that we decided to have our Christmas Day lunch at the Ryde Castle Hotel on Ryde Esplanade. We had pre-ordered our menu in advance as is usual for Christmas Day lunches. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our table which was festively decorated, as was all of the restaurant interior and very clean too. All of our starters were beautifully presented and delicious. Our main course had very generous servings of tender, tasty meat, potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding, and there was an excellent choice of seasonal vegetables and all the trimmings you’d expect. We were very pleased that we just about managed to find room for the gorgeous desserts. All the staff were helpful and attentive and made our experience very special. We will definitely return in the future.

We arrived boxing day and was due to leave 2nd January 2022 but sadly due to work commitments we had to leave a day early.What an amazing hotel, amazing staff and amazing food. We often use the hotel during the yearly scooter rallies but this was our 1st time staying.We could not fault the place.Staff go above and beyond, warm and friendly.

Stayed here as a surprise gift for my 50th birthday....it was amazing. Gorgeous room with lovely sea view. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. Food was lovely. Everything was so clean. Loved every minute, I had the best weekend. Thank you so much. Will definitely be back ,💖💖

We stopped in here for lunch and drinks. Nice beer garden, good food for reasonable money. We had sharing platter, very tasty and big enough. Nice staff and good atmosphere.

We’ve had three meals this week as my mum came to stay and every meal delivered hot delicious food - good value and great service - can’t fault this place - in the bar we tried braised lamb hot pot pie which is sublime - we also tried salmon florentine - the fish was beautiful and tender- finally finished up with Trio of meats Sunday Roast in the restaurant area - the roasties were gorgeous and the gravy tasted as good as my own ! Would highly recommend!

Room we stayed in Room 9; was out Dated and the view was a garden view all you could see was a lovely views of the Fire Escape and a Few weeds slot of the future had stains on them the remote for the telly was covered in Dirt which u can see in the pictures my wife had to clean it with antibacterial wipes at then end of the holiday the Management Admitted the room wasn't up to the standards what was advertised they gave us £200 refund and 50 voucher for Green king the bathroom was clean and Farley clean and the food was pretty good
