Really lovely lamb super tender & kind employee. But drinks were very small - 200ml for £2.75 (soft drinks). Fast service, was a mix-up with order that was sorted quickly and without any fuss

Our always go to Indian whenever staying on the island. However this most recent meal left us wanting.Shame to only be given a small bottle of coke and not the usual pint glass. One waiter cleared 3 lots of cutlery from our table (seats 4) when there were clearly 2 of us dining. Then took our drink and poppadoms order. But then did nothing. Didnt get anything until the manager came to see if we wanted to order. (This guy has his hands full trying to sort them out) My partner had his usual meat biryani and myself chicken dopiaza, both not to the usual standard, sadly lacking in their usual flavour. Good size portions still though. Fingers crossed they've sorted themselves out as we will try again in September when back on the island.

Just ordered a takeaway, got home and it wasn't a complete order. Ruined my meal and very disappointing for the cost. Cowes Tandoori will have my custom in future! Was under the name of Mr Bacon. You have a short memory, as you delivered a cold peshwari naan, when we'd finished our meal.

This was our first time eating here and we were a little reluctant due to the low star rating. But I can honestly say this was one of the best Indian meals I have had. The poppadoms were warm, chutneys and onion salad were in plentiful supply. The chicken dupiaza literally fell apart on my fork and lots of chunky veg. My partner had the mixed tapas a d said it was “spot on “. We were even treated to a drink on the house ! I would most definitely recommend and return here even though we live in Newport !

Cannot recommend this place to anyone.Waiter was disintetested to the point of being rude.Poppadoms and sauces/dips were good, hence the 2 stars..2 of our guys had the lamb chops main, they were poorly cooked and tasted like a bad bbq, my curry was like a curry flavoured gravy with a few chunks of chicken dropped in it.It was neither authentic or tasty. When we asked to see the manager, all he had to say was "you should have said something".. Well what was the chef going to do??? Magic up some better pieces of meat and miraculously learn how to cook them to a better standard??The whole experience should never reach the point where the chef needs a second go at it..The price was reasonable for reasonable food, but that wasn't the case. Not the worst ever but not too far off..Obviously there will not be a return visit on out next Cowes trip..

Recently visited this restaurant during Cowes week. Staff (one with the beard and the manager) was very rude saying they don't have the availability in spite of 4 tables empty. After multiple requests, they gave us one near to the Reception counter. When others came, they gave them straight away the table they liked. This shows how discriminative and racist they were to their customers. Indian restaurant ignoring Indians and welcoming others. 😡 Then while taking the order, manager was also very rude, I will take your order only once so order in 1 shot and misguided us with the size of the Naan with a small plate of 4 inch diameter & quantity of the main & side dish which led us to order more than we could eat and waste our 2 Naan and half portion of both main and side dish. While we were waiting for our order, we saw a naan coming to a nearby table and realised that we ordered more than we can eat so we asked the staff if we can cancel some of them then they said your order is already prepared, we can't do that and brought it after 10 minutes. Then we said them again, you took 10 minutes to bring our order, you would have cancelled it then the guy said your order was already prepared (huh, 10 minutes before ).This ultimately led us to waste our £12 approximately. Food was very tasty and had Indian flavour but the customer service was the worst. Additionally, they added 10% tip automatically on their bill. This is really good way of looting your customers because most of them tend to avoid giving the tips. I would recommend not to go to this indian restaurant.

Booked a table online for 6 and a high chair, upon arrival the manager told me that he didn't have a highchair asked to see my booking confirmation as I told him I'd put it in the notes that we would like a highchair. He rudely said he didn't have one and that I'd booked for the wrong restaurant. That the address on the email is for a different location and that his restaurant isn't number 107! During this time he had his back to me whilst talking to me and told me that he hadn't received my booking, I'd booked for the wrong restaurant and to try the very good tandori down the road and to leave as he's very busy.I apologised for the inconvenience and left. I rechecked my emails and I'd clearly booked for his restaurant. This was a celebration meal with friends so was desperate not disappoint them. I went to speak to the manager again and showed him my email he wasn't interested, saying the location is not his restaurant even though the name on the email said his restaurant on it. So once again left very disappointed and he wasn't interested was rude and told us to leave as he was busy. Once we left the restaurant it was noticed that on the TRACK AND TRACE barcode in his window said the exact location as what my email said???I can't speak for the food but the customer service was the erm

This has to be the best Indian restaurant on the Island. Last night the food was hot, tasty, authentic and plentiful. Reasonably priced too! I had the lamb Pathia which was probably the best I’ve had. Abdul the owner looked after us and remained attentive. Despite the restaurant being busy on a Friday night at 19:30 there were sufficient staff on hand to cope.Overall excellent!!

If you dine at this restaurant (not recommended) check your bill very carefully, we had items added on that we hadn't ordered. A 10% tip was also automatically added. The food was overpriced for what it was and the waiter was rude.(the fat one). I asked for a lamb dish but received chicken, when I pointed this out he laughed and said the chicken tastes nicer, I never got the lamb. There are better Indian restaurants in Cowes, avoid these rip off merchants.

Can't fault it really. Service was good - the waiter was a very jolly chap. Food was just what you'd expect. Certainly stacks up compared to Indians I've had in London and elsewhere. My only complaint (if you can call this a complaint) is that they serve Cobra and not Kingfisher - can't please everyone I suppose!
