Oh boy, if you like pies, then this place is a must!!!Home made, great selection of flavours, served with a choice of five different flavoured mashes and then smothered in lashings of gravy!!!! Just gorgeousI went for steak and Stilton pie, with mustard mash - in seventh heaven!!So good, that once we had walked Buttermere, popped back in to take one home for the freezer. This place has always been great, just now even better with pies!!

Great place to chill, filled my face hole with some cake. Passed the all important tea pot test (Two and a half cups out of one pot)

I can see why this place gets 5 stars, Pie, mash and gravy were amazing, all served with warmth and a smile

Had the delight of visiting here last week for lunch, my friends Granddaughter has a milk and soya intolerance the staff went out of the way to check what she could have and even made her a cake she could have as we were calling back for tea and cake later .The pies were delicious and served with choice of mash and gravy .So much choice for cakes and ice cream will definitely be back next year .All the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Not sure how this place has some 1* reviews 🤣🤣Honestly hands down the best cafe/tea room in the Lakes...oh yes.Visited plenty of them over the years and I love my cake! Loads of awesome places within the national park to get home made food but this place is No.1 👌

After cycling 20 miles from emmendale bridge on this unexpected sunny day we found this delightful tea room. We sat outside and devoured a vegan sub and a honey comb vegan latte both which were amazing. The staff were extremely welcoming and helped us make sure we were taking the best route back. Just superb 🙏

Great little place, ideal after a short stroll around the lake or something more strenuous. From the ice cream to the cakes all looks amazing. We even took a steak pie for the next days walk.

·

Excellent place which serves lovely food including soups, pies and amazing cakes. The three young ladies working when we visited were all exceptionally polite and welcoming. The carrot cake was the best I've ever tasted, and our two teas and cakes were only around £11.00 which for a tourist spot was excellent value too. A must visit place when we're next in the lakes. Dogs are also made very welcome despite the day being filthy and muddy thanks to the recent storms

Very nice and friendly place. We had our lunch, cafe and cake. Everything was home made. Delicious.
