One of the nicest pubs we've ever been to. Great location, excellent food, sophisticated drinks, and very friendly service. Highly recommended.

Wildly different prices to those advertised outside. From £11 -> £14 for cod & chips for example. Nice place otherwise - only reason I went in was because of price, however.

3 cask beers all nice. A rather touristy pub but certainly worth a visit. No Camra discount.

Proper pub, with great food and drinks. Live music friendly staff. Good outdoor seating area with heaters

A pub I passed on the way to my accommodation after arriving on the Isle of Wight on a Red Jet Fast cat ferry. Since arriving, I have visited twice now. Has a nice feeling once inside, there has been a pub here for 300 years in one form or another. Was called The House of the 3 Trumpeters before the change to its current name in the 1800's.Friendly staff, good selection of beers ales and wine. Nautical in theme and the many pictures inside do not disappoint.

Went to the anchor in March. Great atmosphere. Good meal. But only go TWO sausages in the meal. Bangers served in a meal should come in threes. Very, very disappointed to only have two. Anchor please review your sausage distribution for lunches and don't be so tight. Will still go back again.

If you want your feet to stick the floor get yourself in here. Door staff are friendly enough some big burger eating buggers they won't be able to catch you in a sprint but they'd be able to bear hug the evil out of you.Live music is good and the bar staff are all nice shame the bar is so small when its busy. 1 star for the size of the bar and 1 star for the sticky floor.

Lovely food. Forgot to take a pic of the actual main meal but we had rump steak and fish and chips.

Nice pint, but expensive and pub didn't have much atmosphere at the time we went in so we just had the one. We had lunch here a few weeks ago with another couple, four very good plates of fish and chips, went down without touching the sides!

Lovely friendly pub in the middle of Cowes. Came in midweek for a meal after my son had visited in the summer, we weren't disappointed. Really filling meals, gorgeous chips! Highly recommend the salmon, it was really tasty. Lovely and cosy, will definitely be back next time we're on the island.
