The Best Dressed Crab in Isle of Wight

Fantastic lunch out at The Best Dressed Crab . Seafood platter was superb . Fresh lobster ,dressed crab , mussels ,prawns and clams . I would highly recommend a visit .

We shared a platter for two and absolutely loved it. You can't get any fresher seafood - this is a floating cafe so, technically, the seafood isn't even "landed" yet when you order. Highly recommended.

Fabulous, been waiting to come here and not disappointed. Seriously good dressed crab, bottle of dry white wine and sunshine, absolutely perfect.

What an amazing place, went first time and couldn't get in but booked for two days later. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our grown up son has learning difficulties and is autistic so staff were particularly kind to him and gave us the perfect table. The food was simply amazing, Seafood platter, brimming with crab, lobster, prawns mussels, etc and the dressed crab salad. Would travel from Birmingham to the Isle of Wight simply to eat there again !!! Beautiful view of the marina, what more could you want ?

Fantastic seafood and superb service in this popular floating cafe. Tables indoors and outside. Licensed, with some nice wines on offer too!

We went for the seafood platter and it was absolutely amazing! Service was friendly and the cafe itself is set on a jetty with amazing views. I think for platters it's good to book and pre-order in advance, but the staff was extremely accommodating of us regardless.

Lovely food and fabulous views of Benbridge Harbour but best to book if you want to guarantee a table, we were lucky to get one

Situated in a very unexpected place, floating just on the side of the coastal path, very understated place. We got there around 11am and stopped for a quick brunch. Turns out that what the perfect time to pop over without booking as they were fully booked for lunch already. Very friendly lady informed us about all the Covid regulations we had to obey. We were taken to our table and given the menu but we chose to go for the special of the day and it was a great choice! Beautiful hot crab ramekin! Yum! If you’re in the area, this is a lovely, quaint restaurant that you should try out x
