The Blue Crab in Isle of Wight

Absolutely brilliant food and service, my husband is gluten intolerant and they catered for him impeccably. 100% without a doubt.

Well simply blown away by the quality of Cod and chips we got served today at this cook to order family chip shop. We had 2 medium cod and chips and kids cod and chips. If this was their idea of medium I hate to see the large... my word the size was huge. Kids one would have been better. Without argument the best cooked cod and chips I have had the pleasure to taste in a long time. Not dripping in grease like most chippies. Cooked to perfection. Sure it's a little pricey by others standards, but you pay for what you get.... restaurant quality cod & chips.The only down side was the 40min wait. First time fish and chips in years (10 years). What can I say it was worth the wait! I had cod with gluten free batter with chips. Omg . It was the best fish and chips on the Island. The curry sauce was to die for. So impressed its cooked fresh to order and the most delicious fish and a great choice of things on the menu. Its very popular they take phone orders. Will definitely go back. Excellent value for money. Amazing !

Reviewing for two menu items. The fish and chips were excellent 5 star.. The crab sandwich I had wasn't. Very expensive, mean on the dressing and the crab. I'll be having the fish my husband had next time...

Possibly the best fish and chips I’ve had. Perfect batter, very fresh and not greasy at all. Very clean with great staff. We experienced a 30 minute wait, but it was well worth it.

One of the best fish and chips I've ever had. We had medium cod and chips, medium cod was really large and the chips were so fresh and hot. Homemade tartar sauce was great and although mayo and ketchup was £0.50 each, they were large portions. I'm salivating just remembering this delicious meal!

Ordered fish and chips for a large group and the food was great. The portions were very generous. Some of the best priced fish and chips I've seen We had an enjoyable meal on the seashore

Good to take away! It was quite cosy inside. Plus, the takeaway food was much cheaper, and it was really good! I had scampi and my friend had fish'n'chips, both were fresh and tasty. Recommended!!

Nice place to eat or to order takeaway food. The food was absolutely delicious and the price was decent.Because was so busy we have to wait a bit for our food but it was worth.

I dont give a 5☆ rating lightly, but the 'blue crab' is such a great place tucked away in the old high st. of yarmouth.the food I ordered was LOVELY, the service was good & they serve local ales...¿what's not to love?this was out 2nd visit, but most certainly won't be the last.
