Mussels to die for. Most enjoyable meal I've had this year. Download the Character Inns App and get 25% off... what's not to love? 4 of us ate, all enjoyed their food and with the App 1 basically ate for free. 4 drinks, 4 mains for £72 In Yarmouth... bargain. Awesome 👌

Had a great stay here over the platinum jubilee weekend. Room rate was great as was the room for what it cost. Best of all were the staff who, to a person, were all brilliant and couldn't do enough for you. The drinks were reasonable and the food was also good. We will return.

We stayed one night for the IOW festival. The staff were lovely and the room was very good for the price. A beautiful old building with plenty of character and close to the ferry port. I would definitely come back, even if it was just for the food.

As a family of 5 with a dog the experience was brilliant from the moment we entered to leaving, the reception greeting from staff was excellent with a biscuit for the dog. Seating area well spaced out and roomyFood and service great would recommend to anyone.

We hadn't booked & we were awaiting going onto the ferry back to Lymington, but they fitted us in. The place is quite busy, nicely done out.My friends ordered different food to me & enjoyed it. I ordered the fish & chips but felt it wasn't a good meal.Bonus that it was dog friendly.

What a lovely place. The building is beautiful; old and quirky.I called on Saturday morning to see if they had any availability for 10 of us that evening and the woman on the phone was incredibly helpful and managed to find us a table. (Thank you!)The food was great as was the service. They had a good selection of specials to choose from and we didn't have to wait too long for our food either, perfect when we had young children with us.

Only main meals on the menu. No Lunch time snacks, just starters which are overpriced .£9.00 for a prawn cocktail with no sauce or bread. £8.00 for brushetta which was 2 small pieces of bread with very basic topping and then they want to add a 10% service charge. What has happened to good traditional PUB food.

Had a lovely evening here tonight. Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and had good banter. Definitely recommend this place. Thank you.

Popped in without reservation. Very accomadating and friendly. The food was reasonable. I would suggest the lentil rice should have been less spicy and separetly served rather than poured on top of rice.

Popped in for Sunday lunch without booking. Three in the group and we all ordered pork. The portions were a good size and a decent sized Yorkshire. They also served the vegetables in separate dishes and there was ample. It was also very refreshing to be given apple sauce and extra gravy in a boat without asking. We enquired whether there was any crackling, the young lady came back with a small plate of crackling which we all shared. All in all a very pleasant and tasteful experience. We would use the Bugle again. We'll done team.
