Stayed on a dine and stay offer. First let we had a very warm welcome from a lovely chap who showed us to our room , which was lovely. Very comfortable bed and very spacious room. For dinner my husband has haddock and chips which looked amazing and I had saffron a feta risotto with trout and tempura prawns, which was beautiful.Breakfast was also lovely with locally sourced produce ( the sausage was huge and very tasty, we both had the English breakfast. So glad we came and will definitely be coming back. Staff were all very friendly and an absolute credit.

Lovely food, highly recommended for a vegetarian meal. The halloumi burgers pineapple salsa was subtle and made the meal even more delicious. The pork is cooked to pink, which wasn't to the taste of our meat-eaters. The cheesecake was amazing. The toilets were disgusting. Liquid and tissue all over the floor.Apparently, the toffee apple crumble didn't taste much of toffee, but was a fabulous apple crumble. But it needed more custard.Small adjustments to meals were handled with ease and staff were really lovely.Nothing was served fast, which gave us time to chat and enjoy the lovely surroundings. Will definitely go again and hope the toilets are cleaner when it's not super busy on the Easter weekend!

Wonderful pub and restaurant with a good selection of dishes on offer, managed to accommodate a party of 13 at short notice, the food was delicious and hearty portions too.Nice garden seating area with a playpark for the younger ones.Enjoyable experience, would visit again

What a smashing place.Lovely rooms. Lovely staff. Great food. Had a look around and there's a great play area for kids. It's right a road but don't let that put you off as it's a quiet road. It's more or less slap bang in the middle of the island so it's ideal base to explore the island. Will definitely return one day.

Amazing! Booked an overnight stay couple weeks back with family as a last minute booking because the previous fell below standards. On arrival the car park was full which concerned me a little. Booked in and was shown our room which was lovely! Really nice design, clean, bathroom had a bath and shower it was lovely. There was a birthday party taking place which explains how busy it was. Sat down to have a meal and can honestly say the food was lovely!! Very impressed! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Only downfall was the hot water ran out quickly so had to wait for more to heat up, family of 5 as you can imagine use a lot of water lol. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic!! The lady gave us tour advice and was just really nice. Overall the stay was great and we look forward to visit again. Thank you for a great stay.

Always a favourite of ours when coming back to the island for a visit. Great rooms, friendly staff, awesome country location. Food was excellent and nice to see a Vegan menu, although the presentation was a bit bland compared to the main menu. Shame as everything else had lots of attention to detail. Please don't let this put you off booking!!!

Our first visit to Chequers Inn, which we have been wanting to try for ages as we’ve seen it recommended many times. We chose the Sunday Carvery. I opted for the small plate and my husband the regular size. All the food was delicious and beautifully cooked. Our meat was tender, the roast potatoes were crispy and there was a good range of vegetables. The Inn has a lovely atmosphere and is beautifully decorated and clean. All of the staff were friendly, polite and efficient. We definitely plan to return soon, and would like to try main courses off the menu as well as one of their delicious looking desserts. Just to add, Chequers would be a great choice for families with children as they have an allocated dining area next to the doors out to the fabulous outside play area. Dogs are also welcome at the Inn.
