Lovely old building tastefully decorated. The bistro had been adapted from the original horse stalls in the Coach House. The entire Lodge is spotlessly clean. Beautifully kept garden and surrounds. Friendly helpful staff made my stay perfect, thank you all at Ravenstone Lodge.

Exceptional local hotel.Exceptional staff, room, cleanliness. food, and a great location.Without doubt my go-to place to stay in the lakes in future. The included EV charging for hotel guests is much appreciated as well. Many thanks to the owner, the hospitality staff and the chefs for a such a lovely welcoming stay.

We stayed for three nights at Ravenstone. Lovely room, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food was amazing thanks to chef James. The staff were all brilliant and a big shout out to Brett who looked after us so well and was the perfect host. Highly recommend Ravenstone Lodge and hope to be back in the future.

Rude staff, couldn't even get in the staff was so out of order, sure it must be hard to staff this place in the middle of nowhere but manners don't cost anything. Their EV charge point is on the map as usable yet when we turned up for a charge, drink and to book for tonight, they didn't let us use said charger and alleged we lied about wanting to make a booking just so we can use the car charger for approx £5 worth of electricity 🤣🤣🤣 since charge points are sparse we would have had absolutely no problem paying for charging as well had it been offered to us but we just left after this comment. The guy (Brett?) actually said: Nah I don't think you really want to book tonight you just want to use the charger don't youThen to prove our point we told him what's on their menu and yet again he ridiculed my partner for saying ravioli instead of gnocchi saying we must have read someone else's menu??!!Absolutely appalling manners and need reporting to senior management/ owners.

It was not only excellent but AMAZING.What a lovely little find.Lots of on site car parking. We arrived for my husbands birthday and were welcomed by a gentleman who showed us around the lodge who explained and showed us round. The conservatory was cosy and had plenty seating for everyone. The bar and restaurant were in what had been the stables. The dining room was spotless with its snow white table cloths. Our room number 8 was spotless and clean with an adequate bathroom.Tea and coffee together with homemade biscuits were in the room..The lodge had their own signature gin which was amazing and plenty other drinks to choose fromDinner was amazing sufficient choices all cooked to perfection and served quickly and efficiently.Breakfast was the same. All fresh seasonal produce.Well done to the chef for his excellent produce.Praise must go to the gentleman who was on duty for showing us around serving drinks and food.Tidying up and including guests in conversation.10 out of 10 and more for this amazing find.We will definitely return.

My wife and I stayed at Ravenstone Lodge back in early September for one night. It is set in beautiful surroundings with lovely views and only a short walk from Bassenthwaite lake. Upon check in the owner took us to our room showing us the facilities on the way. The room was nice, clean and comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. After we had unpacked we decided to take a walk down to the lake, the owner kindly provided us with directions and suggested we also look at the church. The directions were easy to follow, we visited the church which was beautiful and then enjoyed the views from the lake.We enjoyed a drink in the conservatory before our meal. All the staff and the owners were very attentive and warm and welcoming, the restaurant manager was really good, he introduced himself and explained the menu to us before taking our order. The meal we had was absolutely superb with excellent service. The breakfast the next day was also very tasty. We had a great break away and will certainly return again in the future.Thank you!

We checked out this morning after a four night stay at this lovely hotel. We received a warm reception from Brett who’s hosting skills continued throughout. The food was excellent and compliments to the head chef, we feel Andy’s culinary skills along with his local knowledge of walks etc deserves a mention. Thanks to Mike and the team for making us welcome and without hesitation we would return.
