The Coast Bar & Dining Room in Isle of Wight

Will always be coming here when visiting the island now. Came across it upon a Google search and decided to book for dinner for one of our nights here and it was amazing. The food was superb, ambience perfect and service exceptional. Big shoutout to Nye and Alex who completed the experience! Wishing I had gone for something a bit more exciting but looking forward to next time!

Went here for an evening meal with the wife, son and dog. Very welcoming, great vibe, lots of friendly staff and really good food. We ate moules frites, which was delicious with plump mussels, a homemade burger and a margarita pizza from the in-house pizza oven, both equally tasty. Will definitely return!

Fantastic and lovely hospitality team. Nice clean venue with various seating options. We chose to sit out the back area in the sun. Had the the coast blini... yum!Fish was huge and cooked lovely. I had the goat cheese pizza with rocket and caramelised onion the contrast of the peppery rocket and the sweetness if the onions was divine. Highly recommend a visit 👌

Not been here since before covid. Oh wow, the food and service outstanding. Had three courses of well presented and tasty food. Thanks to the team and L and L. Will be back soon.

Booked a large table in January (for 13 people) for the end of February. As it’s a large table I thought booking it so far in advance wouldn’t be a problem. Called a week before the booking to add one more person on and was told that was fine. When we arrived the table was only set up for 10 people (not even 13). We called the manager over and he said we had to budge up and they weren’t able to bring any other table over to accommodate their mistake. We were all sitting elbow to elbow and extremely squashed in. Despite being told the table could seat 16 (16 children possibly?)We questioned why this happened and he said he looked on the history edit and whoever entered the number didn’t have the authority to change the table and a mistake had been made. No apology, no discount of the bill, not much care received. Considering our bill came to over £400, you would think we would have been looked after.When the food arrived, all the chicken dishes were extremely dry, I personally had pizza which wasn’t great (tasteless, burnt bottom, dry), the chips on other dishes were very salty and my sister had a pizza which practically had no cheese on it.2 stars because the waiting staff were actually very friendly and I understand big tables are hard to keep up with. Cocktail was good, wine was good.

One of the best restaurants we've been too. Went for my Mums 60th. Usually my mum always finds something wrong with a place but she absolutely loved this gem. Food was delicious, staff were lovely, ambience was just right. They also bought out a surprise dessert for my Mums birthday and sang happy birthday. Was really lovely. Can't fault them. Will definitely be going back when in the area.

Im usually very fussy when it comes to food, but this place just amazing! Great breakfast, great atmosphere!

What a lovely discovery on a cold Monday afternoon 👌 Although we thought it would be empty The Coast Bar was buzzing. Lovely, relaxed feel and it made us feel as if we were on holiday. Great food and amazing cocktails. A place we'll definitely return to again😉

So pleased we found Coast. Our food was delicious, we had the nibbles bread board to start and the tapenade was amazing. Yummy pizza and the most beautiful chowder. Staff were all lovely and really helpful. Well worth a visit!

Absolutely love the style of this place, almost a ‘rustic’ feel, with the floorboards, old tables and chairs. Menu wise, spoilt for choice. However, our selection was on the money. Thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. The service was also excellent. Certainly a popular place with hardly an empty table to be seen. Awesome place and definitely one to return to
