This is by far the worst fish and chips I’ve been to. The food is terrible, rushed, puts more focus on delivery than customers in the store. The guy working there has the worst attitude problem I’ve ever seen.

Very dissatisfied. Went in there and was not so politely greeted my a young lady, tried to tell my order and I was rushed through before I got to finish. Seemed over all rude. The chips are not at all like they used to be… didn’t seem fresh at all and were quite inedible. After this experience I don’t think I’ll be returning. Not made to feel comfortable at all and the staff was just sat there on their phone rather than making customers feel welcome or checking food quality or hygiene.

A super little homely fish and chip shop, right on the seafront. Super tasty crispy chips and unusual to offer lovely pasties amongst a varied menu.At the time we called it wasn't busy and our choice was cooked to order. There is a long wooden table and benches for a family to dine inside.Orders can be phoned ahead or there is a delivery service. At the time of writing there was a Christmas specials board....which I think needs to be tried.Super friendly staff and parking available higher up George St on a 2 hour stay or on the Esplanade on a pay meter.

Poor hygiene, watched the guy drop cooked chips on the floor and put them back in with the chips to be served... 🤮 Awful quality food. Would not recommend. Edit: This did not happen withint the '3 day' window the owner has responded saying they checked, it definitely happened.

Haven't had the chips yet but have had the battered mars bar and oreos, the Mars bar was good, oreos very nice, they also batter any chocolate bar you bring in, as long as it's nut free, for 50p, open 7 days a week and opposite the pier, will be my goto place in Ryde now

Chatting is apparently more important than doing your jobOrder wasn't complete eitherVeggie burger was a burnt dry piece of cardboard in a bun without so much as a lettuce leaf, totally inedible

I don't think I've written a review before, but this is probably the most disgusting fish and chips I've had in my entire life - and I've had plenty. Absolutely no taste whatsoever. Terribly awful, only made up slightly by the fact the staff were fairly pleasant. If you want good fish and chips here, head to Wights on Union Street. Avoid this page!

Good price for a light snack by the beach. Love the name of the chippy :) personally I would have loved the batter to be crispy.

We decided to get a lovely chippy for a treat , however today we were disappointed at the codfather . The chips definitely were not real chippy chips but from packs . We asked for salt and vinegar but did not get and the sausage was not battered fully and when we bit into it was grisly and my daughter found a part of bone in hers. To top that I had to tellThe woman three times what we wanted to order . Sorry codfather you used to Be good not anymore .

Ordered haddock and chips, nothing really special though. Chips were good (mixture of crispy and soft), batter was crunchy, and fish portion was reasonable for the price.Only take away was the long queue, I had to wait for about 30minutes (give or take).
