Had the most amazing roast today . Cooked to perfection , very generous portions and great value for money. The staff and locals very friendly and the pub itself, is really charming . Definitely recommend you pay a visit .

What an absolute pleasure it was coming to this fine establishment! We were looking for a homely pub meal which was family friendly and the Crab and Lobster Tap certainly delivered! The owners were so lovely and welcoming and the food was simply yummy! We tried their fish,chips and mushy peas, the seafood pie with potato mash on the top, the gammon ham, eggs, chips and peas and the kids enjoyed chicken nuggets and chips. For our pudding we had sticky date pud with ice cream and rhubarb crumble with custard....an absolute delight to eat! It is simple foods done really well. A lot of love and amazing service makes this super special and we will definitely return again one day!

Really nice experience in a quirky pub. Central location but nicely secluded. Good selection of beer and other drinks and top customer service and product knowledge. Will make sure to return next time I am in the town centre

Staff very friendly and accomodating. Great drinks, especially a choice of caskbales and gins ( especially Mermaid gin from I of W)! Delicious Food.

We enjoyed our visits here so much last year we returned this year. Comfortable local pub to relax with a drink, play cards or game with family and enjoy a freshly cooked meal. Quiz night on Thursdays, needs booking, no food that evening. Would recommend booking in general to avoid disappointment. Staff were very friendly and very helpful catering to our son who has a dairy allergy. Happily adapted the special of the day (10oz steak) to be dairy free which son was delighted with as he didn't fancy the vegan (& therefore DF) options already on the menu. Younger son was impressed by the generous child portion of ham, egg and chips he received though he needed a little help to finish it off. The fish pie was delicious, creamy and piping hot. Hubby was equally very happy with his crab au gratin which unfortunately he ate so greedily I didn't get a chance to taste 🤣, he assures me it was delicious! Desserts are yummy too but not dairy free, hopefully the Crab&Lobster don't mind me saying that you can grab vegan ice cream and other allergy free varieties just down the hill at another great local business.

Lovely little pub with a nice community feel, friendly people and nice location.I stayed in Ventnor for 5 days and lived one minute walk from this pub. Apparently they did roasts for 7.50 which is almost half the price of that found in the spyglass inn by the beach. They also hosted quiz nights and the pub extended quite a way through the back of the building...
