Stopped in with a party of 7 during our holiday to the Isle of Wight. Wonderful staff and a great menu. Very family friendly. Great drinks and cocktail selection.

A really great ambience here. Came for my birthday and ordered the duck spaghetti and was really surprised on how nice it was! Also got a passion fruit Bellini

Spent another birthday meal here and have to say it was probably better than last time. Food was amazing and absolutely worth the trip from the West Wight. Lovely atmosphere and layout of the restaurant, staff were friendly, an all round fab experience and I would highly recommend trying The Duck.

Brilliant cozy restaurant with locally sourced food (i was told restaurant owner has own garlic farm on IOW). Staff was excellent and attentive; the service was quick. Food was divine, everyone enjoyed even most of us had different dishes. Definitely will be back.

A group of friends were visiting from overseas and wanted to go to the Isle of Wight for a day trip. Based on it's good reputation, we went to The Duck for lunch and had a fantastic meal. It's about a 10/12 minute walk from the Hoverport, so easy to get to. Plenty of parking nearby if needed. The menu was great, and we picked a few starters to share followed my main courses. All of the food we had was delicious and beautifully presented. Standouts of the starters for us were the pork belly and bean, and the scallops on a creamy spaghetti. For main course I had the perfectly cooked seabass on an incredible bed of potatoes. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their main courses too. For the lamb burger, note the 'bun' is a single square at the base and no top piece, but this is meant to be eaten with knife and fork and - I was reliably told by two of my friends who had it - was "amazing".A couple of us had wine, for which we chose a lovely example of a Picpoul-de-Pinet. Other wine options looked great too.For four of us, with three starters and a main each, plus a bottle of wine and some beers was £144, so £36 each plus a well-deserved tip.

Love this place been about 8 times now, every time we go to I of W we have a meal there. Presentation of the food is lovely. Always tasty, love the cocktail.

You have to book in advance, but it is one of the best restaurants in Ryde. I am not sure if the combination of two very different French dishes (Salade Niçoise and duck confit) was a good idea, but my husband’s vegetarian salad was excellent. The wine was decent. You can easily combine a visit at the Duck restaurant with a stroll along the beach. Worth a visit.

Very happy with our decision to visit, we could not get a dinner booking so visited for lunch. I don’t think the lunch menu is different, i had wanted something lighter for lunch, but was absolutely full after the mains. The sea bass was fried to perfection and the gnocchi was nice but I would have happily have less of them. The desserts were fantastic too, especially the vegan option for my partner, which looked amazing.Would love to return to try other dishes!

Staff are very friendly and efficient. The decor is very sleek and modern which makes for a lovely eating experience! The food was delicious I couldn't fault any of the dishes we had. Additionally the price was excellent for the quality of the food!Overall I had a lovely time and would definitely come again!

Delicious! We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains. Sizes were generous! Service was lovely and attentive. Tables are comfortably spread out. Felt extremely covid safe. The cold cooked salmon taco special was delicious, as was the seabass with gnocchi and duck breast. Book ahead!
