A friendly and extremely clean pub with some great food. The sourdough baguettes were excellent and the ham sandwich was equally delicious. The staff were efficient and drinks were served quickly. The food service was also good. Parking at the rear was limited but careful & considerate parking there was spaces available. Recommended for a "wait for ferry" lunch as we did.

I believe in constructive criticism. The pub is welcoming, the location and building are great. the staff are lovely and polite with excellent service. The menu was exciting, however the food was a real let down. No one in our party of 4 enjoyed their meals and it was fairly basic steak, burgers etc. Please improve the ingredients and the cooking methods and you would be onto a winner.

The service was good, all the staff were lovely and hospitable. However
.The food was highly disappointing. I ordered the smoked salmon, avocado and horseradish sandwich. I dislike horseradish so I asked to have the sandwich without. With all due respect they met my request wonderfully. But the sandwich arrived and it looked like something I could make at home. I opted for the white bread which reminded me of the stuff you can buy at the supermarket. The bread was also overly buttered to the point it was the only taste I could taste. The salmon was pretty good but with the standard of the bread I really have to question the freshness and the quality of the fish and the avocado. In conclusion, I could have just made a sandwich at home.

Been going now for 3 years have two cars that go for mot. Excellent service all the time they text before mot is due so plenty of time to book. Always give advice of what will need doing in the next few months. Wife's car had full service before it went in for mot they told me that the oil filter hadn't been changed for a few years rusty as anything. Went straight back to the garage that serviced it. Good company only mot station so not interested about making extra service charges just mot would recommend them to anyone and will keep going back

Where do we start. We had what we thought was an absolute blessing of a fresh batch of oysters, that came out to us nothing but raw and full of pure gristle and sadness, felt like I was eating a beach. My partner went for the palma ham, honey roasted pear and goats cheese, to be delivered with a freshly sprouted pear that had not even riped yet. As raw as a third degree sunburn. And not to mention the mains, ‘triple dipped chips’ the only thing they dipped into was a cold winters day. Onto the ‘fillet of beef’ ..asked for medium cooked and it came out still eating grass. HOWEVER, the staff and front of house were fantastic, and the accommodation was absolutely spot on, so warm and comforting which is what we needed after such an offensive meal.

Lovely overnight stay with The Price is Wight Valentine's offer. The room was huge and ensuite shower pristine. Dinner was faultless as was breakfast. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Absolutely lovely.

Fantastic! Can’t recommend highly enough! Staff are wonderful.Room was lovely, heated, very hot shower, nice touches added. Food from kitchen is simply amazing. They are gluten-free friendly here as well. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Fishbourne you will not find better - more than 5 stars!

I wouldn't feed the pub food here to my dog, and my dog is fictional. The burger tasted like it had been birthed from a vat of old, vomitty oil and the chips had undergone a similar treatment. The bacon had more fat than meat and the cheese had been squirted out of an American cheese tube. My partner put it very aptly when he said "I wish I had come here with Covid so that I wouldn't have been able to taste this."

Yet another gem of a find on the Isle of Wight. Stumbled across this one at teatime and after perusing the menu, decided to eat here.So glad we did. A beautifully decorated interior and a very good menu.Opted for the chicken beast with lentils which was gorgeous. Others had the ham egg and chips and Risotto fish. Everyone was very happy with what was served. Reasonably priced for the quality we received. Just shy of ÂŁ80 for 4 mains and a drink each.Seemed to have some good offer on the website for 2 night stays that included Bed breakfast, evening meal and ferry price.Handily located next to the cute ferry terminal. You could easily walk there from the terminal but not much else locally that you could walk to.

Staff really happy to be there, friendly and helpful. Had a sense of humour too. Food arrived super fast and was lovely and hot. The waitress explained that even though the meal looked large it was in fact for small appetites. Delicious. Clean tables and cutlery, thank you we enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.
