The Lifeboat is a great pub to visit, especially to eat at. We always make this our last stop before getting the Red Funnel home. The food is always amazing and the service is also really good. If it’s warm outside, sitting on the patio next to the Medina is a real treat. The menu changes enough to keep it interesting and be sure to check out the specials board! Plus the toilets are always clean so that’s a bonus šŸ˜‚

Fantastic place to come. We booked as advised by family. Arrived to polite and friendly staff, offered to sit outdoors or indoors. Clean and tidy restaurant. Great choice of food, even for the children. We will return!

We dined there on Sunday, 10th April 2022, and we were really looking forward to the meal, as we had read nice reviews about you. We’re big foodies from London, so good food always excites us.The location is fantastic. The atmosphere in the restaurant was chatty and buzzing, so we were happy to have come to this restaurant. The menu also looked lovely, so we ordered our dishes. The staff was good, and the customer service was good as well. Not exceptional, though.Once the food arrived for the 6 of us – 2 of our dishes were great, i.e., the roasted fillet of sea bass with shelled prawns and the sizzling spicy Mexican Fajitas. But apart from that, we were a quite disappointed. 2 x kids ordered Pasta with cheese and Pasta with cheese and Tomato sauce… They were so bland and looked so unappetising. My girls (aged 8 and 6) can cook better Pasta themselves. My husband ordered Penang cauliflower and Pepper curry – that was also quite bland, and my husband did not enjoy it at all. And considering all that, it was quite pricey. But the worst was, when my daughter ordered dessert – when she ordered Jelly Squeeze – she thought she would be getting a nice restaurant made jelly… BUT our minds went numb, when the waitress came in and handed her a pouch, (which is normally served to babies)… Our family are foodies, and never in my life, have we been given a pouch for a dessert, not even in small cafes… We didn’t know what to say. These pouches are available at all supermarkets for 0.80p, so if they charged us 80p, I might still have accepted it… but they had the guts to charge Ā£2.25 for that… I was left shocked. My sister-in-law was kind enough to leave a huge tip, despite all this. So, all in all, we left the restaurant quite disappointed… and don’t think we would return again, when visiting the Isle of Wight. Thanks,Angella

Thank you SO much for making my mum’s 70th birthday meal extra special with the gorgeous balloon bouquet and perfect timing of the birthday cake (which we had hand-delivered by Wight Cakes & Afternoon Tea Delivery & Wedding Cakes Isle of Wight). Our party of 8 were so well accommodated, and the beautiful view/location made it a truly unforgettable experience. Having traveled over from London, Brighton and Alton (via ferry from Southampton direct to East Cowes) it was very easy to access on foot (10 mins walk or so). We appreciated the vegan options on the menu, and the timing of service was just right (never feeling either rushed or made to wait). THANK YOU!

Enjoyed a light lunch with family one Sunday afternoon when they were very busy. Luckily, they managed to squeeze us in! Food was hot and delicious šŸ˜‹ ā¤ļø

Ate here twice in our few days on the Isle of Wight, first for dinner then for breakfast. Good friendly service, especially at breakfast. Good sized portions in a characterful restaurant right on the marina. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place, quiet beautiful marina, great service and easily accessible. The menu is pretty standard, fairly priced for the great quality of the food. The staff were nice too.The only downside, we did waited long between our starters and our mains, We had to enquire about them, but it’s okay. Other than that the overall experience was great. We shall be back :)

Truly a remarkable Pub. The location is perfect, on the marina. The staff are all friendly & highly trained. The service was on point. The food is of a high standard & reasonably priced. Thank you for a great standard of service & I thoroughly recommend it.

Got there and despite not having a reservation they were able to slot us in on a busy Friday afternoon, the food came quick and the drinks even quicker! You might think"the speed will mean the food is rushed"You would be wrong! The food was wonderful and a real treat for my first ever time on the Isle of wight ā˜ŗļøClean plates all around and big smile, will definitely be giving it a visit again before we go home.

We visited in June 21 and just turned up without booking and yet we were made to feel welcome which made us feel a valued customer. With covid restrictions in place and a web based ordering system everything was just so easy. The steaks were just perfect probably some of the best chips I've ever had. Based on my experience I would not hesitate to come back again and also recommend to others.
