The Long Arms in Isle of Wight
Where is The Long Arms?
š High St, Steeple Ashton, Trowbridge BA14 6EU
"Gastropub & Garden with an English Heritage feel in the picturesque village of Steeple Ashton, using local produce and foraged ingredients for a seasonal gourmet menu. The menu covers a wide range of options, offering a plate for everyone ā lunchtime bites, indulgent three-course dinners, and an outstanding Sunday lunch. Our Garden is now open and features a beautiful landscaped garden, ample seating and wooden pergolas. Our Garden Kitchen chefs are on hand to provide the best al-fresco dining experience you can imagine, serving up an abundance of freshly cooked food from our outdoor pizza oven & grill."

My second visit, a wonderful establishment, outstanding service, sublime food. I cannot wait to return. Dog friendly too.

We were told by our B&B owner that this was a Michelin starred restaurant. We arrived 50 mins early and were told our table was ready. We sat down, ordered drinks, then were completely ignored for the next 45 minutes. I waved at our server many times but she completely ignored us. I then asked the guy behind the bar if we could get some service and he rudely responded that our server would serve us when our reservation time begins. Why would you seat us at our table if there was no intention of service???So service sucks big timeā¦. but the food was not bad. There was a different menu posted online so my dining companion was disappointed when we were told that the menu in front of us was all that was available. He requested some accommodations and was emphatically denied. We requested additional bread and was told there was none available. My steak was perfectly cooked but there was too much of an emphasis on truffle⦠overused and over powering⦠and my main was incredibly over salted. And iām a fan of salt.My take-away from sitting in this place for way too long was that if youāre a regular ā¦. you get superior service. They meet and greet and accommodate you right away. If you are, however, a tourist like me, your business is dispensable. Fellow travelersā¦avoid.

Great food and service, can't beat it for a special meal or a casual dinner. Seasonal and fresh produce, and for an acclaimed chef still very down to earth and friendly

Phenomenal place. First class food, kind and efficient service and located in a fairytale corner of the English countryside. Definetely worth a visit.

Nestled in South Wraxall near Bradford on Avon is a lovely Gastropub. The service and food are first rate deserving of its Michelin status. If you can get a table well worth a visit.

Sensational. From the first bite to the last drop of sherry. Never eaten so well. If you get a chance, visit. They've won a Michelin Bib Gourmand award for a reason. In the pics, braised beef, salmon with gnocchi, raspberry diplomat tart and local blue cheese. Thank you, Longs Arms!

What a find. Lovely local pub, but, the food is out of this world. Definitely going back. Home baked bread AND butter, prior to meal, absolutely delish. Barman gave amazing and personal service. Cannot recommend this pub enough. Never eaten in a Michelin starred restaurant/pub before, so honoured to be able to do so š
