A lovely place to have a meal, a glass of wine and enjoy beautiful views of the beach and the English Channel. The staff are very helpful and attentive, the menu has a whole range of dishes and caters for everyone's dietary preferences.Enjoy the outside seating or inside dining...dogs are made welcome as long as they are on a lead.We shall be back!!

Good quality food, that was well presented and tasty. The calamari was excellent. Restaurant very clean and newly refurbished. Staff were friendly. A great addition to Ventnor.

The menu was ok but the ambience wasn’t there. Food mediocre that could have been improved but the young servers went the extra mile in ensuring tables were clear and drinks arrived swiftly.

Now reopened as a tapas restaurant. Lovely food, have 2 or 3 dishes each for a big meal. Staff are very friendly too.

Have just returned from a lunch at The Met....had a fabulous meal and all service was with a smile! Can thoroughly recommend this place...for food, beer or coffee ☕

Food was below average, limited menu & sadly let down by appalling service. Waiting for staff; they were more interested checking mobile messages & chatting in full view of the customers than doing their job. So we asked for the bill and left!!. They were turning customers away saying busy (tables empty?) tables were booked but no one had turned up for. Up for supporting local restaurants. However, I wonder how long they'll survive with these unprofessional standards of all important customer service.

Nice bar overlooking the beach in Ventnor - has that nice brickwork of a cellar bar from the 80s!I went to ventnor for the week a couple of weeks back and because it was out of season there seemed to be not much going on... The place which seemed like it had more of a buzz for younger people was this place, with nice local girls serving and making me not feel like ventnor was just a retirement home! The brickwork inside was like a cellar bar and we sat outside one day with beers overlooking ventnor beach which was beautiful... Haven't tried the food yet!Girls working there were nice 😝😝 that's why i gave it 5 stars

Don't bother going. I had a burnt pizza with little toppings and my father had carbonara which was mainly spaghetti some sauce and meat if you could find it.As for the staff, they were more interested in chatting to their friends than attending to customers. The table next to us remained dirty while we were there, it had not been cleaned from previous customers .

We stopped here for lunch on a sunny Thursday. There were tables set up outside and these were perfect for enjoying lunch with a fabulous view of Ventnor beach. You order at the counter within the restaurant and the staff were courteous and friendly. Our waiter was a bit confused with an order for "soda and fresh lime" (there were limes visible behind the bar) so we just went for a plain soda water in the end. When it was delivered, he'd clearly forgotten what it was and said "Lemonade, or fizzy water...?" when handing them out. The drink was correct though. Perhaps some training would help here. The food was fresh and hot and the waiter offered us sauces and black pepper if we needed it. The pizzas were very good and much enjoyed.A good value-for-money establishment with a sizable interior dining area for days when the weather is not so pleasant.
