Nice pub, found it a few years back and was delighted to see it still open. Staff were friendly enough. Only stayed for for drinks so don't know what the food is like.

Walking into the bar area slightly off-putting as its quite old fashioned and has the feeling of a "locals pub"However the restaurant area has much nicer decor and furniture. Service from the 2 ladies working was fast, friendly and efficient. Food was good quality and large portion sizes and price reasonable.

Lovely food. Very attentive Lois helped to make the evening very enjoyable. Live act in the bar too and lovely community to cap the eve off. Will go again, next time in Sandown

Found this amazing restaurant in Sandown High Street., having been disappointed by the sharp decline in the area. The food was delicious, the service 1st class and all at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend a visit & suggest you order the profiteroles as they were the best I've ever tasted.

Passed this pub as we were walking round Sandown, popped in and booked table for next evening, although not busy so would have still got a table.Very friendly staff, food very good, we were downstairs in the restaurant on our own, we had a lasagne and a burger, good size portions and reasonably priced.Would recommend.

From the moment we went through the doors the waitress was so attentive and very friendly an amazing setting very clean and warm cosy atmosphere. Quick to take our order too. Food was absolutely delicious I had vegetarian chilli rice side salad 🥗 portion size was spot on very filling. Fish and chips were big ....hanging off the plate!!Chicken in peppercorn sauce was delicious too. No complaints definitely a top place to go to eat in Sandown recommend 100%...Give it a visit you will not be disappointed....

What a find, super little pub, warm friendly staff; restaurant was compact and bijou, food was fabulous!Crispy potato skins with oozing cheese, steak, soft and buttery, garlic chicken - very garlicky but superb, chips were great, crispy outside, fluffy inside! I indulged in a taste but the bread and butter pudding was lovely.Highly recommend this place based on today's fare.

One of the better restaurants in Sandown I,O,W. Always book in advance to reserve a table, small restaurant downstairs from bar area, good food and service.
