Seriously good place to go for a meal, some of the best chips I've had in a long time. Would highly recommend if you are in the local area.

A 2 day visit to the island included a lunchtime session in this great pub.I can't fault this place; clean and comfortable interior, very helpful and pleasant staff, good wine and the food - it was a Sunday roast day - was the best I've eaten for a long time.Extensive refurbishment has produced a labyrinth of seating and serving areas at the rear of the property that should satisfy everyone. It will be the first pub I go to on my next visit to the island.

Fabulous food. We sat inside for the 1st time. Lovely refit. Well worth the visit the food was great with generous portions

A TARDIS of a pub. The food was excellent and the service was top draw. Genuinely nice people who nothing was too much trouble. We went as a family with my autistic son who they were very accommodating for. I couldn't recommend this pub enough.

Beautiful pub with an amazing garden. Spacious and well laid out. Silent disco was absolutely fantastic. Lots of patio heaters if the evening gets chilly.

Just been in for a meal here and it was absolutely fantastic! We chose from the curry menu for 2 the railway curry, the peppered chicken curry and the chickpea and spinach saag. Fantastic flavours and ample with all the extras included for £32 excellent value! Definitely reccomend!.

Try to get here at least once everytime we visit the Isle of Wight, love seeing what changes they have done each time. As always staff were very friendly and welcoming as are the locals are always happy to have and chat and laugh. Excellent pub wish it was my local!

So friendly! Lovely atmosphere, dog friendly and great food. Fab for gluten free too!

Great place. Really warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were told on the phone when booking we'd be outside in a heated 'mermaid pod'. When we arrived we realised that this was due to the main bar being refurbished and a makeshift outdoor restaurant had been made. Despite it being an October evening with torrential rain, inside was warm and cosy. There was a really good atmosphere and the staff were excellent and really helpful. I'd love to go back once the bar is open, but I'd urge you not to wait because its excellent now.

Wow what more can I say, warm welcome, fantastic food, when we visit the Isle of Wight we always come here at least twice in our weekend away. Last time I enjoyed Sea Food Player, oh my, what an experience that was, so good. I would highly recommend this beautiful country pub to anyone wanting a pleasant evening out. Inside and outside sitting areas are good and comfortable. Dogs are allowed and fussed over. Thank you for having such a wonderful place for us visitors to enjoy :)
