What a lovely 'red' suprise as we were hungry, new to the island and need to send our friend off to ferry after dinner! The little germs with 1 waiter and few table offers excellent Brisith cuisine, especially fish, dont miss it ;)

It's a difficult time for the hospitality industry and it seems every establishment is looking to recruit. We were pleased we managed to book a table at this restaurant as the reviews were really very good.Looking forward to our meal, we entered an empty restaurant and were shown to our table by a very sociable waitress.Disappointingly, the food didn't live up to the reviews or our expectations. The starter was inedible due to the sheer volume of mustard (it wasn't even a mustard dressing) coating everything. The main courses came out some 75 minutes later (we weren't advised there would be a delay however, we did over hear the waitress tell another table of a 40 minute delay due to "the food all being freshly cooked"). Our mains were over cooked to the point of being burnt and were covered in so much hollandaise and maple sauce, it was like they were trying to hide something. Our evening ended there, no desserts or coffees, we couldn't face waiting another hour or more for them.Unfortunately, it's not somewhere we would go back to for the food although the service from the 2 front of house staff was great.

We have just visited as a group of 9 and we all agree that the food was fantastic. Amazing portion sizes, tasty food and a friendly, attentive atmosphere from the staff.Would highly recommend visiting.

The food was lovely, tasted amazing and was fresh. There was a bit of a wait for it but they did say this upfront and was definitely worth it for freshly cooked food. My only gripe, hence the missing star was the amount of balsamic vinegar on the salmon, was a bit much but not a big issue.

We all had lovely meals here. Food was delicious and portions were of a good size. Staff were very pleasant in particular Martha who served us. A credit to the Cowes high street.

Best and tastiest fish dish I've ever had. Fantastic service. Plenty of gluten free options. Definitely 5 out of 5!

Lovely friendly staff, good size portions. Amazing menu and a very good varied choice not just all the old favourites. Definately the best dinner we have eaten this visit.

We had a very nice meal. There was a really large party in (10)but the service was very good. (Although they did get our order wrong.... No issue though) I would return to The Red Duster... Interesting fishy menu 👍🏼

Confused menu, really dissapointing dishes - opt for elsewhere. Made a dinner reservation based on reviews, but wish we had gone with our gut on arrival and gone elsewhere. Very confused as to how experiences of this restaurant can be so different?! So writing this to give others the chance to have the insight we wish we had had when making our dinner plans. The servers were friendly and attententive, and the venue has a quirky charm, but the menu is very confused (strange flavour combos and no cohesion) and when I was struggling to make a selection, I asked two different servers what they would reccomend, and both told me they had never eaten anything from there... red flag.I opted for the seafood chowder which was completely flavourless and looked like tinned tomatoes mixed with water with a few flavourless pieces of fish thrown in as an afterthought. The garlic bread that accompanied was also flavourless (didn't even know that was possible on an island known for garlic) and had the consistency of sawdust. The other dish ordered was the Thai mullet which was mediocre at best and came with what looked and tasted like microwave minute rice - really overpriced for what it was. Overall, one of the most dissapointing meals we've had.

we order pork chop, eye rib steak, both are good. Staff is warm hearted. But, pork with red wine, I think, is sort of strangeous.
