The Salix Beach Cafe in Isle of Wight

Excellent service, couldn't ask for better. Patiently dealt with our party, and was very welcoming. Kid-friendly, Adult-friendly and everything in-between. Balcony with an excellent view over the beach and a ramp up to the establishment.

Every thing a beach cafe should be. Dog friendly, our furbaby loved the dog ice cream, almost as much as we loved getting a long cold alcoholic drink!

Very good quality food, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money. Gluten free options.Best breakfast on the island. Would highly recommend.

This little cafe right on the sea front does some excellent coffee. It was well made and came at a reasonable price. They use a table numbering system, where you go up and order, then your drinks are brought to your table.I didn't try their cakes/food, however the items available look very appetising.The location is nice, with good views out across Sandown bay. It's a quick walk from Shanklin seafront, and a longer walk from Sandown.

The Salixis is always very welcoming with friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Food has always been good, with lovely views and is our go-to cafe whenever we are on the island.

Absolutely beautiful place to sit at any time of the day, this time we visited for an ice cream and a late morning walk but we will definitely be visiting again for a lunch next as the menu looked fantastic and the staff are all very polite and helpful.

Perfect location to gaze out at the beautiful ocean. Lots of outdoor seating and tables inside. Everywhere was clean, including toilets. Polite and pleasant staff who were very busy and very organised, looks extremely well managed. Wide range of menu options, which were well presented and tasty when bought to the table. Range of shelves and a dresser, these were loaded with condiments and items to sell from other IOW businesses, ( clean, no dust) which is something they do here, support each other, which is great to see. Only one small drawback, this limits space when busy, with queue to order or pay. Someone directed us to this place and we are so glad to have been as it will definitely be a regular place we go.

Lovely beach side cafe - a little further than most others but worth the walk. Great fry up, including the vegetarian version. We were there on a Sunday and they had a brilliant reggae style singer performing outside. Really friendly with a local feel to it.
